Part 5 was the first Friday The 13th film I ever saw on USA Network Up All Night back in the late 80's. I instantly fell in love with the franchise and Part 5 in particular because it's the only one that's a mystery/who-done-it and it makes you think Tommy is the killer throughout the film. It's still one of my Top 3 favorite Friday films with Part 6 being my favorite and Part 4 my second.

Actually part one was also a mystery who-done-it film. Except not executed as well as part five cause in the first film Mrs. Voorhees doesn't show up until the last 10 minutes. I think the point of a who-done-it is make you suspect characters you've already seen on screen like they did in part five.

Part 5 was one of the most entertaining movies in the franchise. At the diner where Lana steps out , you can see the boulders in the lower rock wall match up in the before and after footage! Amazing

Great vids, dude! I was born in '88 and grew up renting all of these on VHS over and over and over. What I always find so fascinating with the location vids, is how much the camera lens really adds that surreality element! A lot of these places are small and cramped, like the gas station/diner here. Movie lens magic gives us those nice wide full shots that I as an adult took for granted as a kid!

Actually it was called Crystal Beach & it was in Maryland, but there was water & woods, so as kids & we would pretend Jason lived there. The 80’s sure were a different time!
