No wonder everything in Hollywood ends up in development hell...it's like they go out of their way to make things way too hard. Love the ending song, by the way. I know they don't have the rights to the Remake but I would do what the MCU is doing with Netflix Daredevil I would start it in a similar place Jason died in the Remake then bring him back as undead Jason and have nods to the Remake don't officially say its a sequel so they can't get in trouble just make it close enough so the fans can decide in there head canon that they are connected That's what the Evil Dead trilogy kept doing they kept loosing the rights to the movies so technically those movies aren't connected they just made them similar enough fans can protend they are connected Get Fede Álvarez as director and get the rights to use the Necronomicon so we can see Jason's dead beat dad bring Jason back he's not a Deadite they just used a different spell to bring him back and it dosnt have to be connected to Evil Dead it's just a nice nod to his connection to the book in past movies

I would say the Remake is Part 1 in the Pamela Flashback at the beginning Part 2 in the beginning with the sackhead going after the first group Part 3 and Part 4 when Jason gets the hockey mask and dies at the end I bet if that movie got a sequel he be zombie Jason he wouldn't run anymore, he wouldn't use tunnels anymore, he have no hair anymore, his skin would be dark a rotten, he be immune to injury and he would be tellaporting

Friday the 13th came from a low budget concept, I know times change and it's a different business but it shouldn't cost this much to make a series out of such a simple franchise.

They are having a hard time because Friday the 13th IS NOT HALLOWEEN. I REPEAT FRIDAY IS NOT HALLOWEEN. A regular blood tits and machete for Friday today might not work today. It’ll be a one & done like the 2009 remake. They are trying to atleast give Jason a story or something to work with in order to give content. Unfortunately it’s hard because Jason barely has a story without Pamela but do ppl only wanna see Pamela ? Michaels lore is different from Jasons

Between the rights issue and so many people being involved in this no wonder it didn't happen. Again it feels like they were going a Bates Motel rout with this but it didn't work, I'm fine with prequel stuff to fill in the gaps but it needs to be good and Jason needs to be a big part of it don't wait forever to get him fully formed and doing his thing.

Most people like them cause They took those IP and did something fresh with them. Yay deconstruction. I always love when people take a simple story and overcomplicated it to show how clever they are. It's just a story about a giant dead guy in a hockey mask murdering hot dumb people. Bryan Fuller and Nick Antosca are both very talented, but they are the wrong fit for something like this. I was looking forward to a prequel show. Hoped it would show Pamela Voorhees sabotaging the camp between Jason drowning and the first movie. Characters talked it being cursed and all the bad things that happened over the years, I always liked to believe it was always her doing.

This IP has had the worst luck because of the constant focus on backstory. The character doesn't have the same intellectual premise as Michaels. Jason is also not who he is because if his mother's treatment. The backstory angle just doesn't work for a killing machine.

Absolutely stupid to remake movies in tv format like you said we already have them. Next movies move at a good pace, you get less with TV shows because they just put filler in them. They have a chance to make a good story, also the timeline with the movies are all messed up so they have a chance to make a coherent story and timeline. Leave the films alone don't remake them, but no one can have n original idea. Pay the writers 100k to remake movies in TV format and add filler is garbage.

You guys need to watch and review The Bikeriders. I thought it looked dumb, and only went to see it because of Tom Hardy, also Austin Butler has been growing on me. The movie is awesome. Way better than I expected. It feels like a mix of The Iron Claw and Goodfellas. Unfortunately I think it is 100% certain to fail, like most movies this year. It just looks like a movie people would say “Maybe I’ll watch it when it hits streaming”, but it really deserves the support. My biggest problem is Michael Shannon only has like 2 scenes in the film. He’s Micheal F’n Shannon! Give him all of the screen time. Also they play the full Nosferatu trailer in theaters for it and it made my heart drop. I didn’t know it was going to be here and it is such a great trailer. Probably my 2nd most anticipated film of the year based on the trailer.
