According to the 10th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States; The States have the power to make laws not superseding the Federal. This includes the roads, highways, expressways, waterways, licensing and registration of all motor vehicles, licensing of non-motor vehicles, licensing of resource usage, and more. The States have the right to govern themselves. This is fundamental in a free society to help with power balance. Driving is a privilege, not a right! Yeah. Would be different if he was just walking down the street not breaking any laws but he’s literally being pulled over. That by itself is a detention for some type of infraction.

The issue is that in many places officers aren't legally required to tell you why they pulled you over before asking for ID. However, any smart officer would introduce themselves and tell the person why they pulled them over and then ask for ID and registration at the same time. The officer immediately establishes that they are legitimate officer and stopped them for a legitimate reason. This builds trust and confidence. If you continuously bark at someone for ID without letting them know who you are or why you stopped them, then you're a bad cop who escalates rather than deescalates. Escalating needlessly may lead to real harm being done to either party or a third party. A good cop understands how to control a situation by building trust, not by asserting dominance through fear based tactics.
@SeizeHerSaladАй бұрын
@olli3686 This. This needs to be the top comment and pinned. Deescalatetion is key and if you fail at it don't bother. The way you speak to people determines how things will always turn out. The law isn't that hard. Driving a car on public roads is a privilege given to you by the state. Part of that privilege is that if you commit a traffic infraction, you are required to present ID. He was caught speeding so the officer has probable cause to stop his car on the public roadway and demand his DL. He does not get to refuse or set the terms of how he will display that DL. Doesn't matter if AZ isn't a "stop and ID state", none of that matters if you're driving a car on public roads.

In Canada, it is even more explicit, in that traffic officers can ask for your id, car registration, and proof of insurance for any reason or no reason, and you must present them. The police do have the ability to ask you questions, and you are compelled to answer. The tradeoff is that these questions must be restricted to the driver and must be directly related to the sobriety of the drive, the licensing and insurance of the driver and ownership of the vehicle, and the fitness of the vehicle.

@@erikdraven1731 This is the information that was on the Brady List until Frank's case was dismissed. On Saturday, April 8, 2017 approximately 11:40 p.m., Sergeant Frank Sloup arrested a subject for Aggravated DUI and booked him into jail. Sloup completed most of the report the next morning (Sunday, April 9th) and then worked an off-duty job at Chase Field. On Monday, April 10th, Sloup obtained the arrested person's driving record from Colorado and submitted the final report to another supervisor for review. The date of the report submittal automatically printed "April 10, 2017" and the reviewing supervisor dated his review "April 10, 2017" as well. Frank used White-Out to correct the date of the submittal and the date of the supervisor's signature to April 9th to represent the correct date of the arrest report. Two months later, a clerk noticed the corrections and notified a supervisor. Frank was called before the supervisor and explained that he changed the dates to make the report accurate, including the date of the supervisor's signoff. He was then told he may face possible disciplinary action for altering an official document, even to correct it. Two months later, Frank resigned. Whenever a law enforcement officer leaves a department in Arizona for any reason, including resigning, being fired, retiring, or for medical reasons, the department is required to submit the change to AZPOST and include any charges of disciplinary action. At that time, Frank's name and case numbers for the two corrections were entered into the Brady List by a prosecutor. MCSO administration later decided to take no action against Frank. On December 20, 2017, case #17-148 - Frank J. Sloup - Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. The Board considered comments from Compliance Specialist Mike Deltenre. Chief Gwaltney made a motion to close this case with No Action with Agency Discretion. The motion was seconded by Colonel Milstead and passed unanimously. The information from Frank's case was removed from the Brady List. Only his name and case numbers remain. Once you are on the list, it's next to impossible to get it removed. Six years later, Frank was working for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. The public relations department wanted to make videos for education and entertainment purposes about the work of the department. Sheriff Mark Lamb agreed and Fridays With Frank was born. Due to Frank's sarcastic style of humor and his interactions with the drivers he stopped, the videos became very popular. Cop-haters on KZbin took notice and looked for any reasons to try to belittle Frank. They found his name on the Brady List site. Although his case had been closed for six years, they then began making up lies about the reason Frank was on the list. They said he lied under oath, stole overtime pay, deleted evidence before a trial, destroyed laptops, raped a woman, and even said he had been fired for excessive force. They also claim he can't testify in court, although he can and does frequently. Their moronic followers believed every word of it. They now flood the comment section every week with the same lies. They seem to be incapable of looking up the facts for themselves, so they try to convince others that Frank is a big, mean, dirty cop. Most people can see past their lies.

Negative my friend, he acted perfectly normal. He even showed this footage to the pinal county attorney who also agreed with his actions.

@@RonaldMcDonaldHasAGuns respectfully speaking, just because it’s the opinion of the “pinal county attorney” doesn’t mean that that is the absolute truth. It’s simply their own opinion. I don’t need another persons “opinion”to see that he lost his cool here. Might I add, my comment wasn’t an invitation for a debate. So respectfully, I will not be going back & forth with you 👍🏻

@@RonaldMcDonaldHasAGuns umm..a respectful person can say their thoughts and not need to have a debate. The fact that you go out of your way to go against someone’s else’s thoughts ,shows a lot about you who you are as a person. I'd like to provide a anti troll comment. I believe the officer. I don't know deputy sheriff for sheriff. Is doing a great and most Professional job. I don't provide this anti troll comment because I'm law. Enforcement or in favor of law. Enforcement, which every true american should be, but I call them the way I see them. My father world war two veteran raised me like that. It is a federal mandate, and it is A. Requirement of most all fifty states in the united states that when you are asked by a law enforcement officer or agent, you are required bylaw to provide a valid driver's license proof of registration and proof of current insurance. Fact microp.

The reason he acted that way is because he is a sovereign citizen. I was LEO 24 years motor officer, I got to arrest lots of those yaks. I would usually have them pulled out of the car in cuffs in about 1 minute. I had not time for the sovereign citizen BS. And neither did any Judge in Nevada either. Frank you are a big mean guy that is why I like you're channel. When they requested a supervisor I always told them I do not need a supervisor to arrest you and take you and you're car to jail.

Why the heck is the speed limit 45 in a desolate area like that
@Squirtleshore19 күн бұрын
1. Increases revenue for the state without having to raise taxes. 2. Idiotic distracted drivers have made roads less safe so 45 increases the chances of survival in a collision. I agree that it should be higher but I believe the amount of traffic on that road is another factor.

Can you please undelete the comment ive just left considering i was supporting frank and him being framed on facebook i want him to see people care i didnt put anything in that comment that was aggresive of had bad language. I have no idea why youtube or channels seem to delete comments all the time i spent a good few minutes putting effort into that comment only for you to just dismiss it i think its wrong. Please bring it back up i cant type what i wrote down again it was too much to remember. Or atleast give me a reason for it being deleted? I supported your officer and supported your channel through two forms of social media and defending a good man who works for you and put the time in to make the unaware, aware of the truth. So why does my comment get disregarded within seconds? Frank and whoever supports him should know hes loved.
