You always say you didn't do much but you did. So happy Luna is okay. I have had four Shih Tzu with the same shape nose and fortunately they didn't have to have that surgery done. Yay, Luna. Thanks for sharing Adam. Take care.

So glad Luna’s surgery was a success. Your iron looks terrific. I agree about old irons being better. Yours is made by General Electric. A very well respected company. It should last your lifetime.

I have been using old irons for years for. my applique and other random sewing items. Beware: they get really hot and you can easily scorch your fabric which ruins it! I must have at least 10 of them, and the old travel irons are great too just tiny, love those. There are many "techniques" for applique, personally I like the starch method, it uses freezer paper, but I use that method, I rarely use the freezer paper. Check on youtube and see how others do applique and you will find the one you like best.

I was about 12/13yrs old when I started sewing, my grandad and nan sewed from either sides of family, just kind of runs in the jeans I guess ☺️
