I think you have enough of the Beyond the Pink Door fabric to make the top behind you and the Saguaro trousers cut into shorts. It would be so cute.

I think that the skirt would look good if you bring the waistband down to hip height and make the skirt a mini to go with the top. Either that, or reuse the fabric for shorts. Again I think it would be cute with the top.

Absolutely loved the rainbow tartan material from the SHJ box, I made the Ethel pants by style arc for my daughter and like you, pattern matched them like a boss😎 I think if you shortened the skirt it would be more wearable for you or insert some deep side splits and wear with a plain crop top because it seems a shame to waste the sewing (unless of course you need the material for the trousers because, like you I prefer a trouser combo than a skirt combo) xx also I love the idea of the Saturday top for the think pink material but kind of made longer into a tie front swimming costume cover up 🤔 I think that would suit you or like a kimono wrap style, both would look great on you, and we’ll done on the public speaking, 🎉

Why don't you make the skirt you don't like into a short skirt?I think that would look good with the top. For the Pink door fabric I would make a floaty style, with a softer silhouette. You used to be "live"when you were a teacher,think of Gabby as a one to one with a pupil or better still a chat with a sewing friend.You'll be great.
