One of our sons was sick for 21 years and sadly we lost him, so now we are back camping again! God is so good to make camping possible for us again. Wonderful place to stay. I was in a primitive cabin when I stayed there. A large tree branch snapped and landed on my car roof. They were very helpful with making sure the damages were covered. ☺️ Such a beautiful setting there. Would definitely stay again.

Great area! We used to camp at Sundown Resort in Townsend back in the 70s and in 82 for the Worlds Fair. Nice KOA we toured it awhile back.

Love Townsend KOA! We were there on a Saturday this past Fall. College football and campfires were at every campsite. They also had family movie night next to the pavilion which was pretty cool. We can’t wait to go back. So glad you guys did this review and had so much fun. God bless!

We have stayed at the KOA several times and love it. We live in Knoxville so we get to go up there quite a bit. We have stayed there before it was a KOA. It used to Little River Village. We have had bears come to our sites 3or 4 times. It is awesome and the kids and grandkids love it. They have made a lot of upgrades to the campground. I’m glad you had a good experience there. We always did. Love your videos. The river stone restaurant is a good place to eat. Take care.

We drove through one of the other campgrounds in Townsend but not the KOA. Someday when we can take 2 Smokies trips a year we'll do one in Pigeon Forge and one in Townsend. Very nice tour. Thanks guys.

We took our girls every summer 20 years ago to Townsend ! Lots of good memories tubing down the river , bike riding and not crazy like Pigeon Forge that’s why it’s the “peaceful, quiet side “ of the Smokies!

We keep driving by that KOA on our way to camp in Cades Cove. What a nice campground. We always wondered what it looked like. We definitely like the quieter side of the smokes around Townsend. We LOVE Townsend too!! I wish we were there with you also. We have camped at Little Arrow, but that KOA looks great. Love love the river. Tubing when its warm is THE BEST thing to do. Really like your camper too.

I've never heard of chili made with tomato juice. Of course here in Texas, we are picky about our chili. Tomato sauce or paste is used here and cumin, garlic, onions, chili powder and Mesa. Enjoy your video's and sweet Big T.

I'm a new subscriber here. Really enjoyed your video what a beautiful Campground. If you're ever in Alabama try visiting wheeler Lake KOA. It's a beautiful Campground right on the river it's surrounded by water. We have a rope Park with zip-lining and we do horseback riding. In the summer they rent out boats jet skis, kayaks, canoes and electric bikes as well. I'm kind of partial oh, I work at the campground. But it's definitely a must-visit if you come through Alabama.
