Cherokee is awesome because it's the town that has seen the smallest changes over the years compared to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Very retro.

It's worn out and to stereotypical. They just need to clean the place up. That stretch of river (which is amazing), needs to be trophy trout fly fishing only with small segments designated for general fishing. Get rid of the whole "savage native" crap. Build trails for hiking/exploring and "sell" the real beauty of the land. Cherokee is flipping awesome by itself if you dump the 1950's stereotypes and the modern gambling aspect. It's peaceful (or easily could be) and has an amazing trout river running through it.

We must have just missed you! My daughter and I went on an extended road trip to the Smokies and just got back to Tulsa Saturday! It’s so beautiful there! We’d not been in that area before. We watched so many of your videos before we went to find places that we knew we would enjoy. We did look for you everywhere we went. We loved it all, but the “Peaceful Side” really was lovely!. . . Meant to add: Cherokee was extremely enchanting. We found it when we were on our way to Bryson City for the train ride, then, later we also were there since my daughter wanted to do the hike to Andrew’s Bald. What a wonderful trip! We’re in love with The Smokies!!

We were on our honeymoon in Cherokee when the Indian was being carved 34 summers ago. Went back two years ago and saw that Cherokee is a very different place than it was so long ago. Glad y'all had fun!

Good to see the Totum Pole gift shop is still there. Back in the 70's when I was just a little girl we would always stop in there when we drove over the mountains from Gatlinburg to Cherokee. They used t have a black bear in a cage that you could buy a coke and it would take it from your hand and drink it. I bought a necklace once with a little Indian girl made from beads and still have it to this day.

Rhonda and I was there a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at the Rivers Edge motel. We also went to the Trail of tears outdoor drama. Most of it was historically accurate, some of it wasn't. Still worth the money. We had a great time as always in the Smokeys and we're be back in the fall. Thanks again for sharing and God bless you both and Big-T.

Help us!! We live in cherokee. Our tribes government has taken our children and some of them aren't even enrolled they take mentally challenged kids away from families and place them in foster care around the country our son got moved to Louisiana. We didn't do anything wrong and we can prove it social workers lied and manipulated our son into thinking we don't love him please someone help us we need a civil rights lawyer for the state of nc please imagine not seeing your kids and not being able to hug your kids... now imagine that it'd not your fault if we had done something wrong they would've taken our other three kids

The natural beauty of Cherokee is amazing but the town and shops have really went downhill in that last 40 years. it’s all about the casino now and some of the towns people seem crass and even rude, sorry y’all were prohibited from videoing the museum. Mike, Karan Really enjoy what y’all do. Hope my comments don’t come off as rude!
