Thank You for uploading this film in four parts! I always like watching Erna Morena who plays the Crown Princess and then Queen. It’s nice to see Lilli Flohr as the lady in waiting Frau von Morien. I’ll be watching the next two parts!

My grandfather was Arzen Cserépy's nephew. How did you find these films? To our knowledge the first two parts were stored in Berlin and the last two parts in the USA and were not allowed to be shown.

We send films to each other all the time, and I don't keep track of where they come from. I'm guessing this one started out life in a French archive, but I'm not sure how it got from there to me - which is probably for the best in these things! The only comment I have in my notes is that these two parts are probably edited, although I don't know why - possibly footage that has gone missing or was damaged. There has been no copyright claim on them since I uploaded them to KZbin, but that doesn;t mean there won't be one in the future, so if you'd like them for your collection, I would suggest downloading them. There are instructions on how to do that easily available online.

@@thevault3853 Good to know they're around also. I recently emailed a specialist on Nazi cinema (I know this isn't one of them, but Frederick the Great was a favourite) and even he didn't know about the film's survival status.
