I agree. I've seen fried lasagna done on the Food Network MANY times. It's an actually dish that people eat. One chef cooked everything then made it rollatini style. Instead of using eggplant, the just rolled it with a cooked lasagna noodle. Then rolled it in bread crumbs and fried it. Thats why we thought it was going to win. Don't get why they made it in the most inedible way possible. 🤦🤦🤦

Someone mentioned why they didn't just do Olive Garden style Lasagna Fritta, but Lasagna Fritta is a dish of it's own. So making that would defeat the purpose of an actual deep fried pan of lasagna. Same goes for the deep fried Oatmeal, I imagined they'd make flapjacks (which is essentially an oatmeal slab) and deep fry that. But nope, they went the other route.

Agreed with everyone's sentiment. If you are going to fry a food item, then fry the food item. No one eats regular food deconstructed, so why try to mess with it for episodes like this?
