Yes, it is Jampa, albeit quite small. If you ever manage to get there, you should pay a trip to the Whistle Stop Cafe and order Fried Green Tomatoes.

My grandfather used to make fried green tomatoes with fried okra sweet corn on the cob all out of the garden with a nice steak to go with it all. Great video

My mom's side of the family are from Georgia and my dad was born and grew up in New Orleans. I grew up eating southern food. Fried green tomatoes is a dish made from sliced unripe tomatoes. seasoned with salt and pepper and breaded with flour. Fried then in (olive oil) is what I use; till they are crisp and lightly browned. They have a slightly tangy taste that ripe tomatoes do not have.

Green tomatoes are unripen. They are great dipped in egg and water mix and then flour and bread crumb. The best are fried in bacon grease. Gramma Candy

Loved the movie so in 2013 when walked out of my job included the town while driving around outside of the US then across canada back to Ontario. They had to move train station because so many tourists came there were some near accidents as trains still run. I ate fried green tomatos at whistlestop cafe also now make them every year using their recipe. I see some changes in the town since 2013.

This was a very, quaint and quiet little town we had a lot of fun mooching around and filming. That sounds like an amazing road trip, we did a similar one in 2015around the states and in to Ontario. Beautiful countrysides

Green tomatoes are actually just regular tomatoes that are picked before ripening, so Andrea was correct
