Here’s an updated recipe without wheat starch for those that are unable to find wheat starch. This is a modified version using my sesame ball dough recipe.
❣️Quick tip not mentioned in video: coat rolled pork turnover lightly with rice flour after molding. This will help prevent pork turnovers from sticking to each other while frying. ❣️
Ingredients listed below. Enjoy!
Filling: (this makes enough for two dough batch)
2 clove mince garlic
1.5 lbs ground pork
1 cup dice wood ear mushrooms
3 TB oyster sauce
1 tsp five spice powder
1 tsp sweet soy sauce
1/4-1/2 tsp Salt to taste
2 tsp oil
1/4 cup scallions chopped
Dough:
1 bag glutinous rice flour (16 oz)
1 cup rice flour
1 cup dry mash potato flakes (mixed with 300 ml warm water)
100 ml coconut milk
1 cup warm water plus 1-3 TB
1 TB baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
2 TB lard
Yields approximately 30-35 Pork Turnovers depending on size.
