How to make fried rice with Christmas leftovers.
This recipe will work with whatever leftovers you have: you can use ham, turkey, chicken, or just vegetables. All of the ingredients can be substituted because the main method is heating everything together in a pan with some oil and sauces and serving. It doesn't take too long to prepare and can be enjoyed anytime of the year.
Cut your leftovers into a dice. In a medium skillet heat sesame oil, or any other type of oil you have. Add an egg and scramble it in the oil. Add some rice. You can use leftover rice, or make a small batch. Add your diced leftovers. Warm through with the rice, oil, and egg. You can add whatever sauces that you want. I added soy sauce, gochujang, white pepper, and oyster sauce. Mix into the other ingredients and add some frozen vegetables, or some leftover vegetables. You can add some more oil, or steam with water if you think it looks a bit too dry. Serve warm. To achieve the dome shape simply pour the fried rice into a bowl and press down. Place a plate on top of the bowl, flip, and lift off the bowl.
