Nice, samosa is my favorite snack, the potato mixture i see is bit different than they make in India. We prefer to smash potato with the mixture and blend of spices. I also loved the concept of dal rice with somosas and salad. Keep it up and also watch the indian version of making somosas, as the couple said they always strive to create new dishes, i would prefer to try this one!😊

I love this serving of Samosas with the🌶 & yoghurt dill sauce, rice, salad (with Edamame)& lentil curry. Congratulations to the Chef/Owner of this food truck for being creative in your servings. I wish you greater success! Yes this is the Iranian version of Samosa & lentil curry. In the Far East each country has its own Samosas & lentil curry (Dhal). My Kenyan & Somali friends too have their own version of Samosas & it’s all yummy! In Toronto & Quebec you can tell where the Samosas are from (or rather who made them/their nationalities) by their shapes and the dough.

As an Indian I would say samosa is neither indian nor iranian. Its a Uzbek dish. Look at their other varieties of similar food. Middle eastern version was filled with meat named as Samsa. Gradually it might have travelled to iran and then to india via some persian travellers. And indians filled potato instead of meat to make it cheaper. But one thing we can say as Indian is samosa git the popularity because of Indians living across the world. They have promoted the Indian version of samosa very well that lot of the westerners now feel samosa is Indian 😊🙏🏻

Sambusa from Iran like many other things was Refined to its best form in India. #Naan is also innovated thin Breads, from Thick ones in Persia & Turkey. - I have seen the Persian Samosa...its completely like a prototype relative to Indian samosa. Similar is the Garlic Naan case #Fact : "Crushed Ice with Sweet Syrup" - became IceCream in India after Turkish invasions. Turk Sultans of Delhi wanted summer desserts, and got it from the Persian menu. - Indian Chefs/ Mastar- Ustaad, did the Refining by adding milk-cream to this crushed Himalayan ice...as all desserts in india use milk products intensively. #Kulfi was the name given to this ice cream which is prepared by pouring into a Conical glass mould and exists even today ! #Gelato came up in italy in the 15th century. - Similarly many music instruments from Middle east after reaching india were fine tuned into new product/ dish. Even Indo- Chinese is another dimension which Many Europeans don't know...only UK has it.
