I do like some fried spuds, it's a proper thing to have in your belly for a nice day of loitering in front of the laundromat and asking strangers for quarters. I remember when my sister and I were little uncle Bon would bring us potatoes for Christmas, he would dress them in monocles and tiny top hats and call them his "fancy boys". Mum would set us out to the garden to play with them until the sun went down, I named mine Judson.

Pray for Bon Thornton. He is in intensive care following a rather unfortunate cooking related accident while trying to emulate this fried spudtatoes dish. What happened was the hot butter in the frying pan had spattered onto his kitchen floor, causing him to slip while frying, which caused the still relatively hard spuds to fly into the air, followed by the pan and its hot buttery contents, after smashing the back of his head on his slippery tiled floor, he then received a concession of blows to the face caused by hot buttery spuds raining down on him, followed by the hot pan. This knocked him out cold, when he came to, dazed and confused, he tried to pull himself up but accidentally grabbed onto the handle of his kettle which was full of boiling water, causing the contents to spill all over him, leaving him with severe burns to his face and upper torso, again, he tried to pull himself up, his legs like a newborn baby deer on his scolding hot, wet, buttery floor, but this time he grabbed onto the handle on the grill of his cooker, causing the door to open on his head, knocking himself out once more. After a few more minutes laid out unconscious on his hot buttery floor surrounded by spud shrapnel, he carefully got onto one knee and stood himself up, but he had left the door of the spud cupboard open and smashed the back of his head off of it, once more knocking himself out cold. When he came to he decided to slither like a snake towards his rotary phone, but he had left a window open and was attacked by a pride of hungry local feral cats who could smell the hot butter, who licked him unconscious once more. When he came to one of the cats had defecated on the floor next to his head, causing him to contract toxoplasmosis. When he finally made it to the phone to dial 999, he was so wet and buttery that it caused him to receive an electrical shock, directly to his toxoplasmosis infected brain, which once more incapacitated him. Eventually a neighbour in the next caravan noticed a group of cats leaving wearing all his jewelry, and 2 were carrying his 22 inch Grudig television set, and proceeded to call the emergency services. Unfortunately for Bon, the open window was not large enough for a human being to enter through, so they had to kick the door in, and sadly, Bon’s head was directly in front of that door. He received yet another devastating blow to the head, followed by a barrage of coppers charging in and falling like dominoes over his limp lifeless body. He was then loaded into the back of an ambulance, but unfortunately the gurney collapsed and he received further injuries to his back, legs and torso. Eventually he was successfully loaded into the ambulance, but then, on the way to the hospital the ambulance was involved in a head on crash with a stolen Escort XR3I, being driven by a gang of drunk feral cats. They fled the scene and are still at large. I know what you’re thinking…. Who has an Escort XR3I in 2024 ? Doctors say he’ll live but has sustained traumatic life changing injuries to every part of his body, and all of his internal organs, including the hammond and farfisa, he has managed to write a last will and testament just incase, and has stated that if he dies, he would like his remains to be cooked into a Shepherds Pie by Kay, and shared among viewers of this channel. He has also said to be on the lookout for hooligan gangs of feral cats.

Hey Kay love the channel! Since it’s a Saturday I want to share mine and my partners “Kay’s cooking drinking game” but to keep things PG, we’ve had to remove a few and change some of the wording 😅 Kay’s cooking drinking game Take a drink every time: * Calls a vegetable by any other name than its name * Kay forgets what she was going to say * Mentions or shows parsley or basil * Strays from the recipe * Final result look…interesting * Makes son eat food * Every time Kay messes up outro * Every time the food looks beige * Kay can’t get her words out * Kay talks to the food * Kay laughs at herself doing something silly * Says something about the camera * Uses seasoning other than basil and parsley * Kay says ‘salté’ or ‘peppié’ instead of salt and pepper * Kay calls herself silly girl * If dish looks interesting but Kay acts like it’s the best thing she’s ever eaten. Happy drinking!

I think if you’d cut them all up a bit more it would be easier to cook them this way. Also adding some oil into to the butter stops it burning. If you cooked them for longer on a lower temp then they would cook through a bit better.

Hi Kay, keep up the cooking and videos! Next time try cutting the potatoes in half first and boil them just till about fork tender, don't take them too far, maybe about 5-7 minutes in the boiling salted water and test the feel with a fork. Once they feel just about tender, strain them out and drain all the water, then start your butter on the pan and throw it in like you had the butter at the start of the video. Fry till golden brown and by then they will be fully cooked through and soft in the center. You can use the oven too. Many ways to do spuds.
@jwsuicides80952 ай бұрын
I'd already commented about boiling them first...but they shouldn't be overdone, as you say. It's aways great to cook too many potatoes and then you've got some ready to go to make something else like this the next day. Great for rice too!

You simply must try “Grandma’s Sacred Fusion Pasta," it’s a dish of profound flavor if you just follow the recipe with trust and diligence. Start by cooking your pasta. Any kind will do; just prepare it as you usually would. While that’s going, you’ll create a sauce that might seem a bit unusual but is truly straightforward if you just adhere to the steps. Begin by sautéing some chopped onion and garlic in a splash of olive oil. Then, add cooked rice and a handful of lentils, or chickpeas if that's what you have. Stir in a selection of frozen vegetables-those you find in any supermarket freezer section. Mix in some cooked quinoa for added texture, and a generous amount of cheese that melts smoothly. For an extra layer of flavor, add a few chopped tomatoes from a tin. A small handful of sliced olives will give it a nice savory touch. You’ll also want to include a splash of soy sauce and a pinch of curry powder. A touch of honey or syrup will balance the flavors, and don’t forget to season with salt and pepper. Combine this flavorful mixture with your pasta and let it simmer together for a few minutes until all the flavors meld beautifully. If you find the combination odd, it’s probably just a matter of perception. My grandmother had an exceptional knack for blending ingredients in ways that might seem strange but always resulted in something wonderfully satisfying. It’s vital to follow the recipe carefully-anything less might lead to disappointment. Trust in the process, and you’ll uncover a dish that’s both harmonious and deeply satisfying.
