Propiconazole is a systemic fungicide...meaning it's absorbed / taken up by the plant and protects the plant from the inside out. It's usually rotated with different fingicide like azoxystrobin throughout the season as fungus can develop resistance to a single compound if its the only one used. Chlorothalonil is a contact fungicide meaning it helps kill active fungus on contact and can act like a short term shield for your plants. Systemic fungicides take long to "activate" than contact fungicides do but last way longer, weeks versus days.

Scuba you are correct about switching the fungicides but the real important part is each fungicide is grouped so you really want to rotate groups. different groups are different modes of action. Keep it up! Scuba should get some molasses for deer and run 3-6oz per 1ksqft! We run that in the fescue and it greens up overnight!

You guys should absolutely use a growth regulator next season. It will do nothing but good things. The prop fungicide has regulating effects but a true PGR I think you would be happy with.

Agreed. I was shocked that I didn’t see a big bottle of t-nex in there. It will help to not only reduce mowing but help to thicken it up. It only prohibits top growth so although it won’t make it spread and fill in quicker, it will help it to send out its energy into producing more rhizomes which should make it thicker(from what I understand of it).

I compiled the list of ingredients for my research on my lawn. Thought I'd post it for everyone's convenience. Fried Eggs Golf You Tube Video on Chemicals used on Green Fert • Lesco GreenFlo 18-3-6 (Nitrogen, Phosphate?, Soluble Potash) 2oz/gal every two weeks. • Armor Tech 28 + Si Plant Nutrient (Soluble Potash 28%, Silica 1%) • Not Labelled 20-0-20 (Nitrogen, Phosphate?, Soluble Potash. More likely 20% Nitrogen/20% Potassium.) Used to put green to sleep in fall and wake up in spring. Slow release. Granular. Fungicides • Propiconazole E-Pro Fungicide (Propiconazole) • Lesco Spectator Ultra 1.3 Fungicide (Propiconazole) • Tourney Group 3 Fungicide (Metconazole) • 26019 Flo Fungicide (Iprodione) • Lesco 18 Plus Turf and Ornamental Fungicide (Iprodione) • Lesco Manicure 6FL Fungicide (Chlorothalonil) Other • Bayer Mirage Stressgard (Tebuconazole) Heat and humidity protection. Green in color. • Lesco Crosscheck Plus (Bifenthrin) Kills grubs and insects. Use once a year. • Trimec (Dimethylamine, Dicamba, DMA) They say for clover but I think broadleaf weeds. • FMC Quick Silver (Cartentrazone-ethyl) Kills silver moss. Chapin 20V 4 gal Backpack Sprayer Surprised no mention of lime, Prodiamine (pre-emergent crabgrass), Sulfentrazone (Nutsedge), Tenacity, surfactant, and dye. Do you test soils and amend accordingly? I'd suggest a boom/power sprayer rig for your ATV. would make life a lot easier! Thanks for the great and entertaining content! A must have for a green (in my opinion)is going to be a plant growth regulator. I use T-Nex on my home lawn and it does wonders to the quality of the turf. Prohibits top growth, increases color and density. You use 1/4 oz per 1k sq ft for hybrid bermuda and once a month during the growing season. Amazing stuff. To avoid the “bronzing” that may happen, use a little liquid nitrogen at the same time, or even mow it off the leaf blades within 4 hours or so. It would have absorbed into the leaf blade by then, but you’ll avoid the risk of causing any yellowing of the turf. Even if it does discolor a bit, it’s only temporary and it’ll outgrow it quickly.
