Friedrichshafen hamfest Day 1

Friedrichshafen HAM Radio hamfest
Showing my travel in Thursday July 13th, 2017 and the first day of the show on Friday July 14th.
I didn't have time to do much editing on this, and this first day was filmed with my iPhone 7s and a Rode mic.
This was a exceptional hamfest and Friedrichshafen was an all around great city. I had several great meals here and met quite a few other amateurs from around the world. Almost everyone was friendly and embracing a shared hobby.
I was amazed to see so much microwave and RF homebrew parts for sale. The major hamfests in the US don't compare to this.
I did have one amateur assault me in the flea market area. Paul Boven, PE1NUT grabbed my arm after smiling at me and saying hi. He demanded that I delete this video.

Even with this, I had a great time at the show and will be back next year!

Thanks for the report and observations. Looking forward to your other videos from Friedrichshafen. I was trying to see what the floor was like in the halls. It didn't appear to be the polished and sealed concrete we see in U.S. convention halls. Was it some sort of rubberized surface?

I believe it was just painted concrete or a hard asphalt. It was certainly better paving than the Hara Arena!

You could have took a plane from Frankfurt to Friedrichshafen! :)
