1) *still jealous* 2) I'm just pleased that someone recognized the thing. 3) Unless I get sued. *paranoid* 4) Oh. I see. I'll have to be more careful. *erk*

@zombiefighter5 I shall give you both answers. The shiny polished answer: Because he is a character so deep, so profound, that words would only cheapen his screen presence. The honest answer: There were two reasons. First we didn't want to have to write dialogue for him in the first two films in which he appeared, so by the third (this one) it has become part of his character convention. Second, I wanted the models (particularly main characters) to communicate without words.

Excellent stopmotion animation, very fluid and convincent. The characters are great and the robots very cool. I really wish own so awesome piece of lego.

Okay, I need to say several things. 1) You lived in Japan? *jealous* 2) We got the box by ordering from Japan (can no longer remember WHAT). I thought... Where WOULD giant robot parts come from? 3) The Hyneman-ness of our Mad Animator is partially accidental. I built/styled him without thinking of anyone. I wanted the maddest scientist I could make. Once built, Jamie-ness just crept in. Mind you, he seems to have the safety-sense of Mr. Savage. 4) I need to find him a different chair.

I'd noticed that myself. I think he pulls it off.

They were certainly...enlightening. *clears throat* District 9?!? It seems I've been living in a hole, and need to Google. Is that the same as just "9"? You're welcome for the linkage, and thank YOU for the giggles.
