What atheist historians are sure of, is that a hebrew man in judea who was either named Yeshua or Judas was crucified by the romans for inspiring insurgency against Rome. That much we are sure of. But it seems like the Christian character of Jesus Christ is a completely fictional character based around this one man. Historians cannot confirm if Christ was real, let alone performed the supposed miracles. And the foundation of Christianity is that Christ died and was resurrected. Christianity would collapse if Christ was not real and/or did not resurrect

Nice discussion. It is important to realize that saying something is a miracle is not an explanation. The miracle claim has to be judged on a rational basis. It is also useful to note that when ignorance was abundant and cameras were non existent, miracle claims were extremely common. God went silent as soon as camera technology was invented

The entire mindset of the slave is that of a subservient human being, they are less than socially, financially, they lack autonomy over their lives because ultimately they are not in control, someone else is. It doesn't matter how "well" a slave is treated, by definition their status is less than free humans and therefore they will never reach their full potential as human beings and live the life they want. It's immoral and has no place in a modern 21st century where we have grown to respect people's right to live as they wish. Also, a slave cannot run away from their master, that is haram. Assuming what you said is correct, how can you define if a master is acting "horribly" to their slave? In practice, that would mean a slave would need to complain to their master or someone and explain why they are treated horribly. Ultimately the decision would rest on those in power who's best interest is not to look out for the slave's wellbeing, but to ensure their own needs are being met. "Horribly" is subjective. The slave masters could just laugh it off and say they did nothing wrong by justifying it. What then?

Hello, please don't bring in Hindu mythology (Purana's) into a discussion to compare with Quranic/Biblical miracles. Hinduism is not a miracle based and mythologies are essentially stories to tell the gist of religion to common people and obviously contain a lot of superhuman things and a lot of exaggerations. People are supposed to use these as means for controlling emotions and Hinduism expects one to go beyond emotions of beliefs and explore oneself. Coming back to scriptures, the principal scriptures of Hinduism are categorized as Smriti (i.e. those to be remembered), Shruti (those which have to be heard, i.e., analyzed and understood), Itihas (history) and Purana (ancient stories, i.e. mythology) Bhagavad-Gita is essentially a re-interpretation of the Upanishads which are a part of Vedas. In fact, belief is NOT an essential ingredient in Hinduism. Most of the god stories are symbolic. Most of us are intellectually lazy and highly emotional. Puranic stories are essentially meant to excite an emotional mind and make the person more devotional. Of course many are way too emotional that they end up believing that these are miracles etc and get furious when one questions a miracle or a supernatural event. What is amazing is that people who have contributed to Hinduism had a very refined thought process and most of the principal scriptures (i.e., Smritis and Shrutis) are very logical modulo common axioms like assumption of re-birth or existence of souls etc. The facts they state (some of the Upanishads talk about creation etc) are considered as the opinions of the person who wrote the book and a Hindu is not expected to believe them blindly. In fact, a Hindu has to question the scripture and understand it his/her own way and use them for their own betterment. In fact Indian culture is so acceptable that those who criticized the existing belief systems of the time were referred as well. One such example is Carvakas. They were people who rejected the validity of Vedas and the existence of the soul etc and stated that life is for material enjoyment. Hindu culture revers them as well!! Unfortunately, our ancestors were brutalized and subjugated to slavery for more than 10 centuries 9first by Muslim invaders and later Christian invaders). Despite the destruction of Temples, Universities, and libraries, Hindu people have preserved the majority of the scriptures. Unfortunately, people hardly understand these scriptures, as for generations we had to fight for survival, and the scholarly traditions were lost hundreds of generations ago. So my humble request is, please don't bring in Hinduism for any analogy of your discussions on religions like Islam and Christianity which historically wanted to dominate the world by hooks and crooks. In fact the brutality done to mankind by the religions of the book in the name of their god is unimaginable and far worse than any other kinds of crime in human history. They literally destroyed cultures of majority of the world. We Hindus are the last surviving indigenous culture that respects nature, gives respect to every sentient being as a manifestation of the supreme truth and understands nature around us to a great extent.
