Imagine if the situation was reversed : Rachel is going to attend an event that is very important for her career. She is extremely stressed because it is almost time to leave and her friends still aren't ready to go. Ross waited until the very last minute to start getting ready, and now he is taking a really long time to get ready, fussing over little things. Finally, Rachel loses her temper and yells at Ross, telling him to just get ready because they have to go. Would the episode have ended with Rachel apologizing for yelling at Ross and humiliating him? ... That was a rhetorical question, folks. No, there is NO WAY IN HELL that the episode would have ended with Rachel apologizing. The writers would have had Ross apologizing to Rachel for not being respectful and considerate of her on her big night. @@ace9924 Explain what? If Rachel had some valid reason for waiting until 20 minutes before they had to leave to even start deciding what to wear, like if something important delayed her that day, then she DID have the opportunity to say so when Ross asked her about it earlier. She didn't, so I can only conclude that there wasn't. I still say that Ross shouldn't have yelled at her. He should have just left her, along with Monica, Chandler, and Joey, behind, and just taken Phoebe to the event.

Finally, a Friends-related video with an accurate title. Rachel was _completely_ unreasonable in this episode. She should've understood how important this night was for Ross and been more respectful of that. I don't blame him for erupting, everyone has a breaking point, and he'd been pushed to the limit of his. Ask yourself how it would've been if the shoe was on the other foot. If she was late for an important function and Ross behaved like this, would she have stayed calm?

Rachel is my least favorite character, she always went crazy when Ross had a girlfriend with Emily, and Julie and phoebes friend or so many times more. She is also acting really selfish here all Ross wanted was her to be there, he didn’t care what she wore because she already looked good in everything. She has the need to make everything about her like in this episode and monicas engagement night

User 1 Ross did the same thing when he saw her dating someone ... when he saw her kissing a guy he complained to Chandler about her moving on and kissing another guy he also hide a guy’s number that was supposed to be given to Rachel and in this video if anything she was the only one who was making an effort while all of them were acting childish especially Monica.

P 1 I get your point , Ross wasn’t perfect but he only did it those 2 times, plus when Rachel got pregnant and he didn’t want to date but she made him and then she acts like she owns him he can’t date anyone else but he can’t date her too and when she accepted an “engagement proposal from Joey “ , she didn’t stop to think about dating a guy’s best friend. I just feel like he was more involved than she is.

How come Rachel didn't have to apologize for being so self-absorbed and inconsiderate toward Ross on his big night? Rachel knew how important this night was to Ross, and yet she waited until less than 20 minutes before it was time to leave to start getting ready, took a long time to get dressed, fussing over little things even though Ross was visibly stressing over the time, and very nearly caused them to be late for the event. If Rachel had an important event to attend for her career, she would never have tolerated Ross acting the way she did in this episode. If anything, I bet she would have lost her temper even SOONER than he did.

I agree with Ross. Why do women do that? Why do they DELIBERATELY take forever to get ready? And don’t give me the crap about “if you love her she’s worth waiting for.” I agree with that to an extent but there’s a limit. She KNOWS it’s a big night for Ross. She KNEW what thins they had to leave, if she loved him, she would’ve been ready to go, on time. No wonder he got frustrated. Then he ends up cow towing to her even though she’s in the wrong. Ray in Everybody Loves Raymond did I’m the right thing and left. Ok Debra had the curling iron stuck in her hair but how was he to know that, given Debra’s past of making him wait. Debra is just horrible anyway. Then there’s Heidi and Cartman. Cartman told her he wanted to get to the Pumpkin Patch early and she’s fancying about with her dress and had to go to the bathroom, one whole hour AFTER they were supposed to leave. Seriously, why do you women do that? You always get your way, is it so much to ask that you be dressed in time in the very rare occasion that we ask this one thing from you? Honestly!

I don't understand why everyone is so mad at Rachel. Yes, the museum benefit was important to Ross, but Joey and Monica were really the more irresponsible ones here. Phoebe and Chandler did get dressed so that's good, but Rachel was also in the process of trying to get dressed. She wasn't wearing all her roommate's clothes or obsessively calling her ex. She was actively trying to look her best for Ross that night. It's not wrong for Ross to get mad about his friends not caring, but Rachel did not deserve getting yelled at. I felt bad for the both of them but I remain firm in my stance that Ross's outburst was really unnecessary and I can understand why Rachel's feelings were very hurt.
