I love the passion they have for the script, the characters, etc. They all made an epic show. I wish they would do a reboot with all of them navigating retirement. Maybe they all move back to the city and buy a building together. Emma, Jack, and Erica are adults. Mike and Pheobe have a couple of kids living away at college. Joe opens a sandwich shop in Queens that's been successful. I think ppl would love it. I know I would.

Writers and actors know everything about their characters because they create and play them, and besides, they always have table read meetings and discuss in detail the emotions, motivations, and behavior of their characters. They also discuss it on the set, during filming. So they know what they say. And as David said here - Ross saying Rachel's name during his wedding to Emily was his subconscious, his deepest desires talking. It was obvious. And David and Jen made it clear here that Ross and Rachel were meant to be together from the beginning & David with Jen were cheering for them, which only makes it better! Ross and Rachel just had to overcome their own mistakes and grow up, very much like people in real life, that is why for me Ross&Rachel was always the most realistic and passionate relationship on the show. They had the most beautiful, romantic scenes like their first night together at the museum to the song "Wicked Game" - sorry, but there was no more beautiful sex scene on the show than this one. Or their kiss at the Central Perk - everything was perfect in this scene! Not to mention emotional, dramatic scenes. The scene of the breakup between them was amazing - brilliant acting, both of them had real tears in their eyes as if it was all real. Amazing, unforgettable. Love David&Jen and love this show!

They hid Courteney's pregnancy because she got pregnant in September, filmed the Thanksgiving episode when Monica finds out they were chosen for adoption in October and entered her second trimester as well as filmed the last two episodes in January. So they had no choice but to hide it. And after suffering a miscarriage, I'm sure Courteney preferred not having her pregnancy written into the show just for her own emotional well being.

I might be the only one who liked Rachel and Joey together. They were much more suited than her and Ross. I hated all that Ross possessive, jealous stuff, and he never grew out of it. He was the same with Emily and Elizabeth and he was awful to Mona. It would have been nice to see Joey grow in a relationship, especially as he was so gentle and caring towards Rachel and Emma.
@natkam4513 жыл бұрын
@Danito 🤣 Absolute, total nonsense. Rachel and Joey were the most forced, undeveloped couple and never made sense together. First off, Joey &Rachel fans are reaching so badly, because Joey and Rachel never actually said 'I love you' to each other, to their faces - not even once, their 'relationship' was a couple of kisses in just a few episodes, throughout seasons 8, 9 and 10, and mainly this storyline was just for laughs, like when Ross is fine or when Joey accidentally picks up the ring from the floor. They couldn't even have sex once - they couldn't cross this barrier, because it was just a fascination phase, not real love. If you love someone truly, in a romantic sense of the word, the desire is so overwhelming, that sooner or later you will do it with each other. This is why Ross and Rachel stopped worrying about their friendship and went all the way in s2, because they truly loved each other. Also, the hypocrisy here is hilarious - Joey&Rachel fans speak about Ross or Rachel other 'relationships', yet Joey, while supposedly in love with Rachel, during seasons 8, 9 and 10 - because they started this storyline suddenly in season 8 and then abandoned it until season 9 - he had other girlfriends, but ''yes'', he ''loved Rachel so much'' xD And the basic problem - the writers started this storyline suddenly, out of nowhere, in season 8 out of all10 seasons; so this was actually at the end of the show when Ross and Rachel had long been established as star-crossed lovers and everyone knew deep down that Ross and Rachel would be together at the end. And Joey was always the womanizer and was unable to have a mature relationship with a woman, yet suddenly, out of nowhere, just because he started living with Rachel in the apartment, after few weeks, we were supposed to believe he changed totally - the worst written storyline of all time. That's why Joey and Rachel never made sense, no matter how many stupid Twitter rants, desperate Joey and Rachel fans write. If Friends writers wanted to seriously introduce Joey and Rachel's relationship, they should do so well in advance, not just 2 seasons before the show's ending. This is why Joey&Rachel never had a chance, really. It was so, so forced. And I don't know if you know, but both Jennifer and Matt Le Blanc hated this storyline too - Joey and Rachel - and actors know their character best. You can look up the interviews, in which they both said it. Jennifer has spoken a hundred times and keeps saying that she was always rooting for Ross and Rachel and had a 'soft spot' for them. Also, please, to say that anyone on this show had better chemistry than David and Jen (who had real feelings for each other) is a joke. I'm so sick and tired of dumb ppl writing that Ross and Rachel were 'toxic'. Stop forcing your irrelevant opinion on others. No, they weren't. "Toxic" and “manipulative” are thrown around too easily, nowadays. Time and time again I see these words used to describe entire human beings. Nuanced, complex, flawed individuals. I don’t think it’s fair to paint people with such broad brushes... and it’s even less fair to seek validation regarding these judgments by posting biased, one-sided descriptions of situations and people on the internet. Life is complicated. Ross and Rachel was a passionate and emotional relationship, full of ups and downs, but a great love, no doubt. They just both tried to move on after they broke up, and they never succeeded because they had always loved each other. And in fact, they always did everything for each other - Ross took care of Emily at Rachel's request so that Rachel could go to a party with Joshua, and Rachel, although she flew to Ross' wedding with the intention of confessing her love, stopped herself and wished him congratulations - and in fact, it was like that, throughout the entire show - they did everything for each other. They always loved each other, but they had to mature, in order to be in this relationship. Hence, they weren't toxic, they were the most realistic couple on the show. Ross always, always took care of Rachel and encourage her to go out and conquer the world: the one with the poker, the one with the laundry, and many, many others. The problem is Ross&Rachel haters are constantly nitpicking and bring up just negative situations between them, ignoring all the good stuff. Ross was just jealous of Mark, human emotion, and later got drunk and Chloe took advantage of him - he never wanted to sleep with her, he was drunk and when we are drunk we lose all control, we are not ourselves. And Ross begged for forgiveness immediately, on his knees, even if Rachel did break up with him before he slept with Chloe- fact. Besides, it turned out later on the show, that Ross was right about Mark - Mark asked Rachel out and was there the second Ross left, Mark was sneaky and manipulative. Honestly, some people who don't like them, are unable to analyze complex emotions and nuances, only think in black and white and judge quickly, and most of them are a new generation, which is very 'judgy'. Because, first of all, a lot of the situations here were just for fun, laughter, it is a 90's sitcom, and it seems like many people don't get it. All the mistakes all the way, which both of them made, were in this story to serve a very specific purpose - mistakes were the next steps in maturing and learning what true love really is, rediscovering each other after they had both found the right way in life. In the story of Ross and Rachel, we have just seen the natural process of learning what love is in practice, in the form of two, emotional young lovers. This is why they were miles better than Mondler - SorryNotSorry! Monica and Chandler were just so so perfect, they were simply unrealistic. Not to mention, for me Perry and Cox didn't have even 5% of Jen and David chemistry - and it's so visible in these scenes. I love, for example, the moment during their first sex, when Rachel tells Ross ''oh honey, that's ok'' thinking that he sexually ''finished'' early, but turns out, she just rolled over a juice box 😆 and then, they both smile and laugh so close to each other, holding each other. I love this particular, short moment because the genuine love and happiness on Jen's and David's faces are just magic. So natural, you can actually see how much they both enjoyed filming this scene and how relaxed and comfortable they are around each other! Just natural, amazing chemistry and now we know why - they were both in love with each other, in real life! I just love them!

@@henri191 With Ross, Rachel's just marrying her father - a paternalistic neurotic with a superiority complex. With Joey, Rachel is marrying someone who views her as equal, someone who met her as an adult and doesn't constrain her with an infantile image of who she should be. Ross's teenage crush being validated makes him act like a teen - insecure, needy, controlling, etc. Their whole dynamic has a whiny, childish quality to it. Joey on the other became friends and grew with Rachel and watched her grow. Watched her become a woman in her own right and under her own steam, a sweet, kind Mother. Joey is in love with the mature adult woman he has known for a long time as a close friend. Ross is in love with his sister's friend from when they were teenagers. He has struggled with her growth and her evolution all along. He would continue to be a constraint, like the father whose financial shackles she already threw off once. By shipping Rachel and Ross, what you're saying is you don't actually like Rachel and you don't respect her journey, and what's more you're willing to toss her under the bus for the satisfaction of a needy man-child.
