When this started out I was like 'oh, okay. more snek baby boi'. Then the evil copies came out and i was like 'oh we're going dark with this are we'. Then we got evil Virgil and I was like 'holy shit what is he going to do to them'. Then evil Logan took Lo's heart and broke it and I was like 'JESUS CHRIST ARE THEY GOING TO MURDER THEM!' Then Virgil punched his copy in the face and I just started laughing till my lungs hurt. Virgil giving Deceit the bird at the end pretty much killed me. i hAVE A LITTLE THING what if Patton didn't follow Virgil out the door? what if he shook Virgil's arm off him and actually followed his past 'duplicate' and stayed with him? Patton is the emotions, and telling his insecurities hits him hard, and decides to stay with Deceit to possibly find a way to feel loved by the other sides, and Deceit using Patton to take advantage of the other sides since he has PATTON, and he doesnt have to disguise as him. He believes in Deceit's lies, because he'd rather feel better with lies than be hurt with the truth which is 'Logan, Roman and Virgil hate you and think you are childish etc etc.' even if he is Morality. His desire to be loved overpowers his main duty to PREVENT lies, which Deceit uses to his advantage because he can manipulate Patton's thoughts and feelings thru lies. just a thought. gREAT ANIMATIC BTW

Here’s the storyboard for this animatic! katatles-the-fish.tumblr.com/post/184206441401/new-video-heres-the-storyboard-i-made-for-it I know that this is probably one of the most confusing and lazy animatics I've made, but this was mostly self-indulgence and testing the effects on my editing software, so you'll have to forgive me. (read below for an explanation, preferably after you've watched it) Basically, the story is deceit summons copies of the other sides (distinguishable by the fact that they're wearing their old clothes) to mess with them. They each use what each side is insecure about. Roman about his past of hating Virgil, Patton's fear of the others not actually liking him, and the fact Logan has feelings. I like to think Virgil doesn't get one specifically aimed towards him cause deceit knows that Virgil is now less susceptible to his manipulation.

okay, but is nobody going to talk about the fact that Patton and his copy are talking about how the other sides dislike him for specific reasons? Virgil thinking he's too optimistic, Logan thinking he's idiotic, and Roman thinking he's worthless. and the fact that Patton actually REACTED to it made that even more heartbreaking, and you can tell in his face at 2:20 he's really nervous compared to the rest of the sides. he may be thinking about what his copy said(?)

I think the reason they went in (what assume) deceits room is because Virgil told everyone what his past was, and they secretly went in there then Virgil was walking around the house and heard screams and somehow knew they were in Deceit‘s room.

Every so often, I will remember this exists and look for the video. This time is was in my recommended. This animatic makes me really happy for some reason. Maybe it is becuase Virgil is in his element and has overcome his past self. Maybe it is because the background color is easy on the eyes, maybe it is the emotion each frame has, maybe it is the fact the Virgil flips the bird at the end. I just really love this animatic.
