Oh my. Well, I definitely heard the “we are DONE” tone in your voices this week, and I can’t blame you. The IKEA tale would have sent me over the edge…so I admire your patience and fortitude! We moved from So Cal to a small(er) town a little north of San Luis Obispo in California, and while there is joy in our town, I have NEVER seen more joy than you’ve got going on in yours! Wow!!! I love all the confetti and fireworks! I hope you have a wonderful and productive week!!

The mayor of Palazzolo is virtually begging people to visit. There’s lots of properties for sale and people are very accepting of foreigners. The population here was once 20,000. It’s down to 8,000. I’m ok with it 😉

We generally don’t go out to eat in Noto. We usually go to Retrovino for a glass of wine and appetizers. The ragu’s are outstanding. Ask for Gaetano and tell him we sent you there. He will take good care of you.

We went Ritrovino and met Gaetano!! He was so happy you sent us 🙌🏻 we had a lovely grazing platter👌 I had a Hugo Spritz 🍹which was perfect!! So, at that church … we’ve seen fireworks on more than a couple of occasions - right? And now - whatever this is. Do they have time for services? Between the setting up for the next pyrotechnic event and the clean-up - Jeesh! And there’s a full crowd every time. OTT!

I know these are hard questions, but they are real life serious issues? Do you have running water? From what source , Where do you shower now? Where do you use the toilet..,,when I was in a situation like this I would just pee down the hill…Also, I heard Scility can have some 100 degree and humid weather…do you have A/C? Heat now is a serious issue…can’t sleep in it ,,, wears you out
