THANK YOU! I needed to hear this as i agree with everything that was said. Bc the person that liked me ended up having that when he’s been liking me. I was trying to find out my feelings about the guy for a while, and when i told him that I figured out i liked him back, he told me right after that he did “it” with his FWB. So i changed my mind right after he told me this. Someone with a FWB isnt someone i would date. Ngl, i REALLY thought I’d had a relationship for the first time and have a chance with him, until knowing this crushed it all :(

I was in a similar situation. I really liked this girl, we were talking/dating for 3 months. All the attraction seemed there, same core values when it came to relationships (or so I thought), and I never felt like I had to chase her. Turns out, she was FWB with some other dude who expressed his feelings towards her one night and she told me the next day. I was absolutely crushed. Not because things didn’t work out, but basically I never even had a chance. She was using me as a placeholder for certain emotional needs until this guy said something, otherwise she would have just been getting everything from him. It was really hard for me to accept because I felt like she respected and admired me more than any woman who’s come before. Now, 2 months later..I’ve accepted that I didn’t deserve to be to bamboozled like that and anyone who is okay with FWB and lies about it, isn’t for me. For someone to commit in the evening but have sex with someone the morning of because it’s “technically not cheating” is a modern day cop out and totally fucked up. What do you think?

@@chrisherber1635Damn, im so glad to know im not alone in this, dude. And she had feelings for that other guy, you say? That is BEYOND fucked up! Her having a FWB and also having feelings for the FWB is already enough to feel cheated on, and plus thats even worse.

@@XxMxggy I’ve been wronged worse before but it’s almost like I expected it from those women. This one felt like betrayal. When she broke the news to me, it’s like she was saying “oh this friend came out with feelings for me and I’m dealing with that”. At first I thought it meant it was a shock to her, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized she withheld that information from me. Friendzoned men don’t get out of that friendzone. They were having a situationship the whole time even though she said she’d never get in one again. I found out the whole truth not directly from her but from someone else too. She didn’t even respect me enough to come clean when it came to her “apology”. She was NOT the woman who I thought she was. Of all the women I’ve dated, she was the one I really felt like we’d have a legit chance.

@@chrisherber1635 Geez. That is fucked up. This is why the whole concept of FWB is stupid. It’s literally unhealthy for relationships! And im really sorry to hear what you went through as this situation for me happend most recently for me as well. I never been in a relationship before, but this is not the only time i thought I’d have a chance. :(

As a 37 year old woman…many men are not serious in my generation either smh…it’s our society. People have strayed away from God, have thrown morals and values out the window and now doing anything under the sun with no regard to consequences. It’s honestly scary.

Your 3 reasons can apply to dating period. I met a girl in line at a bank, long line up, we chatted,asked her out went out several times, she ended up stalking me. That was 30 years ago, so when I hear this rhetorical analysis of a dating app, Its a matter of how much salt one uses.

If anyone has sex and has no feeling maybe they need some help. Because the body will react accordingly to keep a string. Its not dumb just that some people think no one is going to get hurt.

Agree, it can, am in one rn after breaking up with her, we talk and even cuddle but i told her the reason why we can't be together and she agreed to be fwb, she's little bit persistent to be with me but i just can't with her, i love sex she love sex and it works somehow, also we are in shadows so anyone can't see us and know about us

That's the problem, it's basically a brother and sister relationship, rather aromantic at that point, which defeats the whole purpose of the relationship. I see this 99% of the time at my local gym. Being an attractive guy is actually a bad thing majority of the times, infront of old women, women with wrong moral values and some overeal females there, even ones in relationsships. I know the one when I see her.
