Stayed in Wang Lang for a bit before catching a train to Kanchanaburi. Might return there one of these days and eat around there and hang out at Tha Maharaj. Tha Maharaj looks like a trendy place.

HI Mr. Chon, I'm coming to visit Thailand next week. I want to go to the elephant park to experience some close contact with the elephants. Do I have to join the elephant tour? The price shown on the website is so expensive, $6,500 Bhat plus tips (transport and lunch included), that's half month of the Thai locals salary. How can you guys afford it? Is this the price for tourists only? Any cheaper way to see the elephants?
