I don't like peeling potatoes either lol I find it faster to cut around the potato in the center, boil in hot water for 15mins then run in cold water. usually easily peels off for me. just pull at where the cuts were. potato skin free! :)

+Byjs95 No. It decreases it so it boils faster. It's called a catalyst. If it increases the boiling point, it would increase the amount of time to reach an increased temperature. Salt quickens the boiling time so it lowers the temperature it needs to reach.

+Byjs95 You're right. it does increase the boiling point of the water due to the ionic interaction between the water molecule, and Na and Cl ions. Salt decreases the freezing temperature which makes it harder to freeze (i.e. the ocean). In addition, salt is not a fucking catalyst in this case. Whoever said that clearly needs a refreshment in high school chemistry.
