One time, a bunch of us went over to a friend's house, but they had forgotten they invited us and left for the afternoon. They were one of those people who didn't lock their doors (weirdo!) So we cleaned the place and rearranged their furniture. And by rearrange I mean moved the living room furniture tot he eat-in kitchen, the dining room furniture into the living room, etc...

Simplest way I can think of to thicken your skin would be to start by making fun of yourself. If you can laugh at your own short comings then it will be a bit easier to take it when someone else pokes fun at them.

That last one is so true, whenever I see a wallet someone lost I put a $20 in it and add a nice note and hope no one stole anything before I found it I also recommend adding a nice note when you find wallets or bags that were lost, even if you don’t add any money you might be able to make them smile a bit and that’s worth a lot

@@hannahblurp9360 well I’m not rich but I don’t find wallets often so it’s usually more like a $5 but still it’s a nice way to cheer someone up! And sometimes I also don’t have my wallet because I left it at home or something and it’s just a nice note but most people tend to be happy with a note!

When my boyfriend was in,his early 20s he was going through a rough financial patch and his friends invited him to play poker like they did on occasion and they secretly planned to lose to him on purpose to help him because he was way to prideful to accept direct help. Years later, when his mother died on christmas eve, 4 of is friends dropped everything to be with him. His friend who came home from the hospital after having his daugther invited both of us to sleep over to show his support and help him. My boyfriend seriously have the best friends I have ever seen.
