How could such an inelegant man say such beautiful words? Shrek puts on a small, but comforting smile. His struggles are no mystery to Frieren. The world seemed to always have a problem with him. Everyone judged him before they even knew him. It's been obvious to Frieren how much everything has been wearing him down. "Even sorrow could be meaningful, you know? It could also be beautiful." Her friends used to say her spells were beautiful. How could her sorrow be like her spells? Shrek brings a cigarette to his mouth. Such a gesture briefly reminds her of Sein, the priest who likes to smoke, but she has long forgotten everything else about him, just as she has forgotten about everyone else. He offers Frieren a hand as he rides on his motorbike. She doesn't understand his words, but she has managed to feel something new because of him. She lets him take her away. She puts her head on his shoulder, as they ride into the night. Her hair flutters in the wind, but she doesn't mind. It doesn't matter. For now, she will remain by his side, just as he has remained by hers.

@@johnfraire6931I was offsetting a bit to account for when a person is old enough to actually remember something they watch... around five or six years old. So ideally you were born before 96 or 97 to appreciate Shrek when it first premiered. Which means most of those kids are 28/29 at the very youngest. Obviously there's people who still grew up on it who were younger, but you could say the same for people who were a lot older when it first came out. It's a bell-curve, and the age range I cited was a rough estimate. I just turned 40, so I get it XD
