Truthfully the impact they had on one another. Frieren saving him from one of the darkest, isolated moments of his life and Himmel saving her from her very own dark, isolated moment, by showing the other the true magic of beauty and love out in the world. Love... The love story between those two is unlike anything else I've ever seen in any form of media. It is definitely something that needs to be studied. Learning to love someone while also realizing how much that person loved them. I'll be fine if Aurole is just the friends we made along the way. But if we get there and she manages to see him for real... I tell you, I just may never stop crying.

Aaa Wirbel mentioned! I loved every second of him. (((and not only cuz I find him hot))) I also think that Frieren really loved her time with Flamme and could have been afraid to connect with more people after she passed cause of how her death influenced her. I also hope we'll see the joke behind the "I was used to hearing my master beg for her life" from the Einsam scene go full circle.

I understand the importance of Himmel but his appearances are exceptionally repetitive, making him really one note in a story where most characters are more elaborate. And while it isn't so bad in the manga, the VA really killed any appreciation I had for the character in the anime, that voice is a fat no on my end.
