wirina holstein yes! My Friesian (who is quite young) is always being told to get by my 30yr old Arab
@wirinaholstein40767 жыл бұрын
Haha - I think it must be the rather "sturdy" body that makes them too lazy to get up. My Arab looks like it takes him no effort at all to get up in a sec while my Frisian is huffing and puffing and blowing air through his nose and taking forever to first pull one leg in front of him and then the other and then slowly pushing himself up. To be fair he weighs 1984 lb/141 st and the Arab only 992 lb/70 st but still. They're both still almost babies :-D

Cute horse friends. What's wrong with the clydesdale though? Is he feeling sick or depressed?
@kimandMrD7 жыл бұрын
No. Horses do lie down. If there was something wrong with him he would be doing other things like rolling or sweating or breathing really fast. Horses take turns watching over each other when they sleep. There was another horse over the fence watching them. If it were just Red and the black horse then one of them would've been standing. When me and my horse are out and he's grazing he hates when I sit because that means that he has to watch out for predators for us and he doesn't want to. Lol, he wants to daydream while he eats.

Friesians are "brown" for 2 main reasons, They are out doors a lot, so that the sun lightens their hair, which will darken again in cold of winter... Or, they are still foals/ yearlings, whose coats darken as they become older. Those beautiful photos you have seen are mostly Photo- shopped!

I hate when humans force horses to do something for a video. Let them be horses. They only sleep 2 hours a day at 10 minute intervals. Humans are such control freaks.
@luca30017 жыл бұрын
Linda Maria de la Rosa tbh she didn't force her horses to do that. Maybe it was time to get up because horses can lay from 25 to 30mins if not they can kill themselves, think b4 u post c:
@harmonystables8177 жыл бұрын
It's completely natural for horses to sleep like that, and they can get very injured if they lay down too long, their bodyweight can crush their organs. She was helping, not hurting.
@sagerider27 жыл бұрын
Really? I've had horses for years. They nap at noon for about an hour standing up. Because bad things happen if they lay down too long. They take forever to eat. Then they want to play. Shorty, would love to grab the pooper scooper & hurl it around with the greatest glee. He would also bully poor Buddy something fierce in the pasture. Buddy was like 3 & 1200 lbs & shorty was like 30 & 600 lbs. He'd walk over & put his butt against Buddy's butt & push him off the grass he was eating.

@charlygonzalez30357 жыл бұрын
endofdays ! If a horse lays down for too long they could cut off the circulation in some of their lower parts of their bodies therefore they could be getting them up for that reason. Also it could be the time for feeding or grooming! You always need a routine and shouldn't break it unless it's like weather issue or issue with the horse.
