Good morning to all the lovely ladies of Stal Goengamieden what a beautiful sight with the clear blue sky, green grass & sweet Friesian horses coming to greet their friend. As always Lianne moves in first for extra cuddles she is absolutely her mother’s daughter& has my heart.❤️❤️Klaske is such a love bug now compared to when she was a baby as one of the more timid little ones. I always must start my day with these inquisitive, loving creatures & one of the gems of Friesland who never fail to make me smile.🌈🐴⭐️💖💖

My husband called this poop area the "ring of repugnance". Our horses would never eat there. Many pastured herd animals, such as cattle, have the same behaviours. I look forward to your daily posts as I no longer have horses or a husband and it reminds me of bygone times. Thank you from Ontario, Canada. A little fun for you Yvonne, my adult son thinks you are very pretty. He always has good taste.

I was told that the horses will poop in one area as a natural way to control the spread of parasites. Even though horses are wormed nowadays to control parasites, it is a learned ancestral and traditional behavior to not poop where they eat. It certainly makes cleaning the poop easier when it is all in one area. Some horse breeds will poop anywhere, and everywhere.

Yvonne said months ago that one of her mares, who was it? would tinkle on the hay along the back wall of the stall and was very conscientious in separating her business from her living/sleeping area. And she said it was a lot easier in cleaning when it was all in one area.

@@FriesianHorses Hahahaha, silly Yvonne; you always bring a smile to my face no matter what the weather, the spelling, the tight back, the round neck, the surcingle (ooh la la! loved that thing and wish I had one for myself, lol). Sorry, can't keep a straight face sometimes, at the inanities going on. Goed zo! Amerika the Butt...is...full! This is what homemade spaghetti out of a can, lol, does to me. Yvonne, visited Anita's channel in Sweden; she's up to 25 horses. She tossed out an invite from one of your videos. She loves your channel. She brought in some counselors to work with her horses who were going through the stress of her personal life (leave it at that) and then the loss of her own old horse. She felt responsible for her horse's having taken on her stress and thus passing over earlier than she should have. The point is that the mental health of our horses are of the utmost importance. She knows when her horses try to bite her they are stressing. If horses could only talk?! She runs all her horses together and bitless, too. Enjoyed her training like yours re: about to use the pressure of the leg, etc. Very passionate woman with an awesome Swedish team, like yours. Horse loving and training is a lifestyle Looking at some land up in northern California that didn't have the wildfires, so cold though, I feel like I'm in Sweden. No more homemade canned spaghetti for me, lol :-D from Amerika.

Nice streams of consciousness, Jan. Are you the geese or the horses? I think I could get into the role of either. I like the cheerleader in you, yeah they are horses horses. Remember that ole movie years ago, "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" starring Jane Fonda. She was doing an all-night marathon, holding her dance partner up. She was the cheerleader always horsing around and had some kind of stamina to keep at it, night and day, to win the dance contest. The geese and the horses are one odd couple, but the final result is a rather haunting twilight-zone movie that has everybody singing "Goed zo Bless Amerika" ~~ girls just wanna have fun :-D

Same for inside their stalls, some horses are clean freak by poop/pee on the back corner same spot everyday. Some horses messy they would poop in water bucket or feed or even hay on the ground, walking around spreading poop all over they even lay/sleep on top of it 🤦🏻‍♀️ these "messy" horses does continue their bad habit out in the paddock too. Every horse are different they have their own characteristics.

The Canadian Geese leave a terrible mess if they decide to stick around the pasture. We have problems with them in city parks. Walkways are slippery with poop. No fun walks. Horses looked sleepy. Their poop territory is interesting too. They are civilized pasture equines. Impressive. 🧐 Eventually does it go back to just fertilizing for eatable grass or always avoided?😊🇺🇸👋🏼💕

@@LindaEll89 After reading all these comments on today's video, feel like I'm hallucinating ~~ is it cold, can't be, it's September, nope, it's February and the road bricks are freezing. I remember all the chanting during Mass in our local Catholic Church. Even then, I would follow one group of people saying one thing out loud and then try not to lose my place, and say the other, matching thing out loud. So much shame when I got the lines mixed up and said somebody else's part. Ayudame, Sra. Linda, lololol!

Why would they eat where they poop? Surely animals have a better sense than that.
