So true. We are all individuals and do not need to be exactly like everyone else. You can see in Teije's eyes when he is processing information. He is very hands on, lets fix this. What a year this has been ! When I discovered the channel, Yvonne had only one Fresian horse, Uniek. Then came Rising Star, Then came Daisy & Glendy & Spidey. Then we almost lost Yvonne, Then The Miracle . Now Yvonne has Stal H with Uniek, & Coralle carrying her foal, and Saly with Wunder and Reintje with Yfke,. The Shetlands, Daisy with Peach & Glendy. with Mario, Spidey and Bjarni , Icelandic pony. 12 horse family, Stal H - H for Horjus and H for Happiness. And Happy Yvonne & Bauke and Rein &Teje…plus Deuwke & Kiki , “supervisors” and all the extended friends & helpers… What a wonderful Home in far away Friesland., on the North Sea…. ❤️. from 🇺🇸🌲🌲Pacific NW

He does seem a little rambunctious for his age, even for a colt, doesn't he? My mare had the patience of a Saint with her colt but he wasn't quite as much of a handful for another month or two! I think I was more glad than she when was finally weaned. 😊

Saly had me completely fooled. I would have sworn that it was Uniek "scratching" her leg through the feeding opening in her stall. How many times have we seen Uniek doing this? I can't count them all! It's a good thing that Yvonne knows her horses so well that she could tell by the neighing that something was wrong in the pasture. Otherwise, Wunders presence in the enclosure with Reintje and Ifke could have turned out horribly wrong and quite dangerous. I'm glad that none of the horses were hurt, and that all went well once the Mares and their Foals were all together. I really enjoyed seeing little Tieje working so hard to help his Mem. I felt sorry for him when he slipped into frustration trying to get that wire on the stake properly. But, as always, Mem was there to help, and the task was completed nicely. 👁💙Friesian 🐎🐎🐎!

Certainly not before Yfke is older and stronger. At Stal G, for example, the mares with foals stay separate from the rest for a long time. Maybe even until weaning. They don't want to take a chance on having an out-of-sorts mare harm one of them.

Thank you for your excellent feedback,@@Historian212 -- as a breeder of sport ponies, I also would like to add some comments: Wunder is not only older and well developed for his age, but he has a clearly masculine character already. His type and movement are excellent and with his breeding, he is a likely stallion prospect. This leads to unique challenges: keeping him sound and uninjured, while managing risk of injury to other foals. For him, his program will likely be a bit different from the others. When he is weaned, he might be safest with an older gelding as "babysitter" who will teach him manners and respect. It will be interesting to watch his development unfold! (And Yvonne, please, PLEASE wear a helmet, even out in the paddocks especially after your brain trauma!)

Both Saly and Reintje have their hands full with these two. Wunder was determined to meet Yfke and he made it happen. Teije’ s little face when the wire would not cooperate. 😮 Bauke has a herd following too. The tack room is going to be awesome, good job Bauke and crew.

After watching Friesian Horses for a few years now, I have seen a lot of beautiful foals. I have never seen a more handsome colt than Wunder. He has a special energy, a noble quality. His carriage and movement are self-possessed, beautiful, and confident. What a neck he has already! Wunder is already good at being a stallion :D Yfke also is not only very long-legged, which I reckon means she will be a very tall mare, she is sweet-natured. I think she has a beautiful head and face.I see in the last video that indeed, Saly has been displaced from her position by Coralle. What seems to be going on is a lack of respect for the wire by some of the horses. I would not trust it to keep the horses apart.

Hot wire or electric fences are a great rotational grazing tool but there is always 1 baby that runs through it and then the separation progress begins. Your horses are beautiful. Love seeing your boys outside learning 😊

The foals really give the mares a workout running off like that! At seven days old the filly held her own! I can't get over how beautiful Wunder is, I love the way he carries his head. His neck is shaped so wonderful! You had a lot of good help with all the fellows in your life! God bless you all!
