Risey doesn't know that there's something "wrong" with him. He's just a very happy and loving guy. It's rare to see anyone or anything so obviously thrilled with life all the time. When I see him now, I think of how much Uniek loved him from the moment she saw him and how adored he's always been from you both. Definitely a true Prince!! 🐴💙

Rising seems quite happy now and he does not realize that he's sick but you don't have to stress about him because you can love him just the way he is.. he is a beautiful champion and just being a horse having a good time every day he doesn't have to be doing fancy leaps and jumps and dancing and dressage and all that other stuff... It seems you nursed him back to Good Health let him enjoy his life just as it is. You love him just the way he is right now and you always will. Just don't ever decide that you have to send him somewhere else that would be his end he would die of heartbreak that should never be allowed to happen.. ❤❤❤

Thank you Yvonne. We are so fortunate to still have our very sweet and very handsome Risey. To my untrained eye, I would say Risey's movements are more exact and fluid and for whatever reason, he's more stable on his feet. As long as he remains the happy guy that he is and he's not a danger to himself or others, it's good. Seeing Risey always fills me with smiles sweet memories.💙🐎💙 You made the right decision, Yvonne. I don’t really know what I’m talking about, but Reintje seems so powerful when she moves, like the stallions. She’s not exactly like the stallions, but more like them in her movement than most mares. She is a fantastic horse! AND she brought Yfke into the world! AND we all know how special Yfke is! 😍

I think Risey wobbler is much better. You can see his muscles develooed where he had atrophied muscles before....now his muscling, especially along his back have developed more. I definitely think he is improving in time. He may even get totally better. I think he will.

A very good move to put Reintje in the box, that had been Uniek's before. It doesn't change the fact Uniek is gone, but to walk by the empty box hurts even more. It's the perfect place for Reintje to take. ❤

I completely agree with you. I think that it would not only be good for Yvonne but also Reintje too. The stall would be full of Unieks scent which would gradually fade and that way she would gradually become used to Uniek being gone.

I definitely think Rising Star is moving MUCH better. He's undoubtedly adapting, but I really think there has been an improvement in his condition, too. This may be wishful thinking, but it makes me happy. He's a handsome boy!

It’s not wishful thinking at all. Risey has improved, no doubt a combination of Yvonne’s devotion, supplements and Risey’s will to deal with his condition. One of my horses has wobblers and he has done very well for years with it, and while he’ll never compete, he has a great life regardless. No doubt Yvonne will make the best possible decisions with Risey, and I hope he continues to thrive. All the signs point to improvement imho, and he’s still very young.💕

Oh my heart ❤️. To see Reintje and Corella co-grooming from Unieks stall brought me to tears. It is apparent that they are all feeling the loss of their Queen but to see them console one another, even with baby Belle right there, is a sight to behold. Once again, the previous actions of Queen Uniek befriending Corella as well as always being a great friend to Reintje, has made a difference in the lives of her herd even beyond her life on earth. Reintje, Corella, Sally, Risey, and many more including all of us, were all touched by Unieks beauty both inside and out. We will forever be blessed for having experienced her unwavering kindness.

Beautiful Risey is moving better than in the beginning. I'm not sure why. I have not seen any self-inflicted leg injuries lately, so that's good! We are all still praying for him and sending him healing light. 🥰

Risey is very handsome and very sweet. He moves much better than when he arrived at Stall H. Reintje and Coralle cuddling each others is sooo sweet. They def miss Queen Unieck. Rising Star is a magical horse: He has the very rare capibility of making everybody love him. When being a tiny orphan he made our QUEEN love him at once an adopt him - and since then he enchanted everybody who watched this channel. Her is beautiful - and he is happy. And so am I each time I see him.

Risey IS very beautiful. I think he looks better than he was moving and there is more muscles on his top line than he lost before he had definite muscle wasting. He is moving around more on his own volition so that could account more for some improvement but he’s not pressured by young stallions that he was with before who bullied him to do so. So please don’t send him away, he loves being home. At first I thought the kindest thing to do was to euthanise him before he hurt someone or himself but he seems really sensible and seems to have more control over his hind legs. Maybe he has learned or is learning to compensate and or build muscles that will support him. You have nothing to lose by letting him keep living on providing he is safe and you have the experience to observe him if he deteriorates you will know what to do. There has been enough sadness you can relax and share the joy that he truly is a magnificent animal, he is therapeutic for you in his open affection. He’s a good Uncle to the foals and Spidey. He has purpose. You don’t have to make any decisions and let time slip by. Time is a good healer, clarifier and equaliser. Nothing will be lost if you just let time pass. Every day has been a bonus for him since he was born and he lives a good life. It might not be the fantastic dressage sport horse he was destined to be but he is loved by everyone and is your champion lawnmower even if he’s not the show horse he could have been.

I've never once seen Risey bullied to be moved away by the other stallions. They could not make him play with them when they wanted to, he'd only play when he wanted to and when he would, he'd keep them on their feet using: Prominent pinning ears warnings/territorial, constant targetting through, warning buck kicks and playing feistier than they did when he would play with them. He was seemingly the more bossy one of the bunch until the wobbler happened.

Risey is beautiful and has a beautiful soul / natutre. His story is very moving, and I feel he would be a great "ambassador" for children and young adults who face some adversity or tough times. I just love his eyes and excited loud snorts 😍🥰

You could tell that Reintje was bored being alone. She definitely missed Uniek! It was a good idea to put her together with Bibi and Yfke. I hope it worked. 🤞 I was surprised that Yfke still wanted to go to the udder even though she had been weaned for a few months. The milk must taste really good. 😀 I think both are true with Risey, he has gotten used to his illness and is doing better. At the beginning you could tell that he tried to avoid certain movements. Now, when he is with Spidey, for example, he behaves like a normal healthy horse. He even gallops off sometimes. The movements, especially of his two hind legs, are sometimes not 100% but he had no problems walking backwards a few steps, for example.

So sweet to see Coralle comforting Reintje. Belle looks so lively and alert now thanks to you. She looks great keeping up with Coralle trotting and in canter. Risey looks wonderful and it's good to see him eating so well. If he manages to get up and down to roll in the sand I'd say he's doing better. The time in the Arena with Risey brought back a lot of memories. How hungry he was when his owner, Janet, first brought him to Queen Uniek (who had just lost her Foal, Star😢) at Stal G! After Risey had just nursed for a long time, he looked around for a minute and went right back to nursing. Janet said, "He goes back to the Dairy again." 🤣 He is so sweet NOW because Queen Uniek taught him how to behave, and Yvonne taught him how to love. ❤ If you have never seen Rising Star sleeping with his head on Yvonne's lap, you really must go and watch! It's easy to find. Yvonne made a photo of it into the videos thumbnail. Spoiler Alert! This happened on more than one occasion! 😊 Do you remember when the Foals at Stal G were "chipped" by the Vet, and some hair strands were collected for their DNA? That was it for the Friesians, but NOT for Rising Star! Being a KWPN Horse, where the markings and colors between those Horses are different, a Horse Artist had to come to Stal G and actually draw a picture of Rising Star, noting every mark of color difference on his body, down to his hooves!!! I still don't know why photos are not enough, but apparently certified (hard copy) photographs aren't sufficient for the KWPN authorities. 😮 I remember the first few times that Queen Uniek and Rising Star were let out into the Arena and into the Pasture together. If Rising Star tried to gallop more than 10 feet away from Uniek, she was on his tail! She didn't have to chase him more than once though. After that, he stood right beside her, or walked around her in circles, as she happily, with one eye on HIM, grazed. 😉 The final memory I will share is the video where the thumbnail says, "Rising Star Sold!", and asks, "Is it the end of the Fairy Tale?" How many of you did Yvonne fool? I knew it couldn't be true! Still, I felt some relief when that piece of paper changed hands! 😅 I wonder if Janet knows about Risey and the Wobblers Disease. I bet that if she does, she's just sick about it. With Rising Star's pedigree, (I mean, JAZZ x FERRO, c'mon!) Janet bred a perfect Dressage Horse! Then, this. She must have been really sad to learn that she will never see Rising Star perform to his full capacity. Newbies to the Channel may not understand our sentimentality toward Risey (who isn't even a Friesian, afterall), but that's only because they don't share our memories. I hope that some will read this and spend some time on the Channel, going back to watch all of the Rising Star videos from the day he first came to Stal G, and became the foster son of our beloved Queen Uniek. Aw Reintje and Coralle miss Uniek. Risey is so beautiful 😍 And he is moving much better than before. I think the vitamins, exercise and positive thoughts really help him. Yvonne did a fantastic job! I hope she gives herself a pat on the back from Bauke's invention

Risey's wobbles is definitely not getting worse which is awesome and he's definitely learning I think how to move with his legs being less coordinated than he normally would have I'm glad he seems to be still as sweet tempered as his mommy especially in the eyes u can see soft eyes and yfke going straight for the milk bar 😂 is hilarious

I think Risey is coping and moving better. As long as he is not in pain, then you were right to give him a chance on living his life. He is beautiful and happy. Risey is a part of Queen Uniek's legacy, as long as he lives, Queen Uniek lives.

Risey is maturing into a gorgeous representative of his breed! I was so looking forward to him beginning training in a few years and then entering dressage and/or jumping competitions to show what he is made of. Sadly, that will probably not happen unless a cure can be found for his wobblers, but we will all love him just the same. He still has so much to offer due to his sweet nature and loving attention to al his human and equine friends.

Risey is stunning. It is probably a combination of him learning to manage it and improvement in the nerves. I think it is your amazing care and love you give these animals. There is a lady in England who is able to ride one of her horses that has wobblers also. So I feel there is hope, especially for all you do for him. He truly seems like a happy soul. Who knows if when our RS looks around he understands that his mother is no longer there, I don't know how animals perceive the absence of another animal but I think they suffer a lot, RS, here it is Yvonne by your side takes care of you ♥️

Ich denke nicht, dass RS sehr leidet. Er ist ja kein Fohlen mehr, war lange von Uniek getrennt. Pferde können trauern, das steht fest aber sie leben, wie alle Tiere, im Hier und Jetzt und nicht in der Vergangenheit. Für sie fängt jeden Tag das Leben neu an.

It does seem like Risey is better and I don’t think it’s because he’s able to work around it or gotten used to it. And I do think he is a beautiful boy. I love everything about him. Ich mag Füchse aber keine mit so großen Abzeichen. Deswegen mochte ich ihn früher nicht so. Aber er ist so schön geworden, sein Körper ist geradezu perfekt und wenn er problemlos laufen könnte, wäre sein Gangbild fantastisch. Er wäre geradezu für Dressur prädisteniert. Vielleicht hat sich Coralle geirrt und dachte, es sei Uniek als Reintje in ihrer Box stand ? Reintje und Yfke haben sich aber sofort erkannt, sonst hätte R. Yfke nicht ans Euter gelassen. Aber die Erkenntnis kam schnell, dass Yfke kein Baby mehr ist... Belle ist schon uniek (einzigartig). Habe noch nie ein Fohlen mit so langen Beinen gesehen und wie gut sie damit umgehen kann ❤. Dennoch habe ich etwas Sorge um sie, denn sie knickt etwas ein in der Vorderhand und zittert dann. Was mich wirklich beunruhigt ist, diese Wühlerei im Heu und dann noch die heraushängende Zunge, das sieht für mich nicht aus wie ein Charakterzug. Da sollte man dran bleiben.

@@Makapida A dog is not a horse. Ein Hund ist ein Raubtier, ein Jäger. Als Wolf lebt er im Rudel,weil da die Chance für erfolgreiche Jagdausflüge größer ist. Pferde leben in der Herde zum Schutz, sie sind Beutetiere. Ich denke, sie sind mehr darauf trainiert zu überleben und verschwenden nicht so viel Zeit mit Trauer oder Verlustgefühlen. Wir Menschen neigen dazu Tiere zu vermenschlichen,damit tun wir ihnen keinen Gefallen.

As someone who knows very little about horses, I have to say that Risey’s gait looks fine to me. You are of course the expert. But another thing I noticed in this video….Coralle is a lovely horse but seeing her trot next to Belle, even I can see the difference. Belle has that knee-lifting prance that only the Friesians seem to have. Coralle’s trot looks fine but not special like Belle’s. What a gorgeous foal.

I have a Maine Coon Cat mix who was raised by his grandmother. When she died, he went into a very deep depression. With love, care, & lots of attention (and brushing!), he's coming around to feline normalcy. (He's now about 16 YO.)

When Risey arrived home he didn't look well and he was also much more unsteady. Now he looks very well, happy and I think moves better, all- be- it still not back to normal. I think the supplements and any healing he's had, has made a big difference. Such a beautiful horse. Even if he can never be ridden he can be the "protector" of his herd. Love you Risey,🥰❤🩵💟💖
