To everyone asking why Frieza is shown in his 4th form: Thats how he was born, thats how the real Frieza looks. The previous forms are just energy containers, as he's not able to fully control his power, and may ending accidentally unwilling destroyng things, so he created the previous three forms to reduce his base power level of 120.000.000 to 530.000 which was still enough to blow up a planet with a single finger, but much easier to control. Even Frieza says that in both manga and anime: " i transform when i cannot handle my tremendous power" so yes, the other transformations are "shells" that he created to low down his power level and be able to control it in a better way and the real Frieza is the 4th form Frieza, the form he was born with and that is his true aspect.
