Rest in peace brother. I've listened to his music for so long it feels like I lost a friend. I haven't felt loss like this in a musician since Kurt Cobain. My thoughts go out to his family and bandmates. Depression is real and it's a living hell for so many people. Just god damn.

I was lucky to be in the room when this was recorded. We couldn’t make a peep so we didn’t screw up the recording, by the end of the song my eyes were crying like faucets my soul pinned against the wall. I’m so sorry you couldn’t make it longer man it’s so sad to lose you

I miss Scott so much. I am so sad that I won't have the privilege to hear more of his music. He has been so influential on my life and I only wish he could know how much of a positive impact he has made on my life. Rest in peace...

Wow, I can't believe it was 10 years ago already. I was a little sophomore in college at the time, I played this CD to death.

yummyjackalmeat right on man, I was a sophomore in college as well. This album helped with all those girls that I loved in class who didn’t want me 😂

I love this song and love this version of it. Scott was an amazing songwriter. 💕💕

This is the best version of this song I have heard, including the original on the LP. Scott became such a good vocalist from where he started. This vocal performance is gut wrenching. Their best song by a mile for me. It really breaks my heart that he was so sad and that he has left so many who loved him behind. As with other famous artists who have taken their own life. You know that their struggle must have been brutal when even the praise and validation of so many isn't enough. I suffer from depression myself and it's really scary.

I saw these for the first and only time in 2011 when they headlined the 2000 Trees Festival with Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip. I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t pay them the attention that they deserved either. Great song though.

And as bad as it is, how did no one see it coming? He was clearly in pain, and most of his songs referenced drowning... such a terrible loss

What a terrible comment to make, people close to mental illness see it, some things in life you cant prevent tho no matter how much you would like.

A mixture of hoping it's a healthy outlet for them, the belief that they they have the willpower, and the balance between providing support vs forcibly restraining him and depriving him of his freedom as an adult. Everyone around him definitely gave him as much support as they could. But it's the individual's choice in the end.
