liked this story about the redwood. I lived in Oregon for a year going to a community college in Coos Bay in 1985 and when I moved back to Kansas a friend flew out and we were going to drive my car back amd have a road trip. My mom had taken me several years before to see the redwoods and I wanted Peter to see them. Unfortunately we got to the Redwood forrest in the middle of the night in the pitch black. This was before the age of digital cameras or cell phones but I had a Nikon 35mm camera and high speed film so we found a huge redwood by the side of the road and I was taking pictures with Pete and this huge tree trunk behind him illuminated by the headlights. We heard a rustle in the underbrush, which was so thick a rabbit couldn't go. We got quiet because I expected an elk to break out to the road. It sounded heavy and as the sound got closer it was clearly on two legs. The sound increased its pace and and louder until we both ran for the car in terror and raced away. I think it was bigfoot. I can't imagine a man out there in the middle of nowhere in dense woods without a flashlight. This was probably January 1986.

I have had some bad experiences with clickbait stories on youtube, they don't deliver anything but negativity, advertising, fear mongering, and then the algorithm gives you tons more just like it. Your stories are scary and have a sense of authenticity, not to mention how you tell them out in nature. I feel like this is your gift, storytelling, and you are extremely good at it. I have many stories that I need to put into a book, all true stories of strange things I've experienced. Life is really weird and wonderful, we don't have to make it up. Thank you for entertaining me, and for inspiring me to get good at sharing my own stories.

I had a freaky experience there in 86. I will spare you the details but it was terrifying to hear the sounds of something that sounded like a deer being killed at 3 a.m by a pack of canines. then the canines starting getting torn apart by the sounds of things. Started packing up and left by 4 a.m...drove 45 min south and had another really bizarre experience. Im from B.C and I had spent enough time in the forest to know this is odd. the next night we were at a friends on the edge of the forest and we went for a walk to see the landscape near dusk. Soon after we were surrounded by loud growls and we climbed ontop of a tall metal box which I assume was some power equipment. It was about 8 ft high and 4 by 6. we spent a couple hours ontop listening to the growling and literally sitting ontop of each other to stay away from the edges. Eventually we climbed down and the loud, low growls started again and we went through this process till dawn. Our friends didnt come look for us because they were asleep. very creepy. glad to be alive.

Hey Chris! Just found your channel tonight, and wanted to say something about the Jefferson Proving Grounds. I live about 45 minutes from there and my dad used to do the fire extinguisher inspection for the entire facility, once I showed him this video he told me that there was always a certain part of the grounds that just overwhelmingly creeped him out. He would never linger too long in the open. Almost running from his van to the next building. He is just glad to finally have some information that justified him not being crazy. Thanks!

I’m old now but when I was around 15 my uncle took me hunting for white tail in north GA. He was escorting me to my tree stand and as we got closer it looked like a giant dirty big naked fella was leaned against the tree I was supposed to go up in. My uncle called out to him and it started thrashing on the tree with his back. Then it suddenly stopped. Turned its head slowly to look at us. Its face was an absolute horror show. It was red and brown skin with patches of hair with snarling teeth. Then it slammed on the ground on all fours. My uncle was a hard man but at this moment was speechless but had an arm in front of me as protection. Then my uncle unholstered his 357 and shot it in the air and the thing ran off into the brush. When it did we then recognized it as a bear but was sick with something awful. Needless to say we cut the trip short and went fishing instead.

Am from a little red dot island known as Singapore. I enjoy Chris story telling so much. He can like teleport my mind into the story as if I was in that place experiencing the encounter and I do get frightened.

I'm wondering if it might be possible to hear some more ghost stories, or perhaps other cryptid/strange happenings or creatures for halloween? I like all of your tales and I think maybe this is a good occasion for those too!
