Thank you for telling us to take caps off filter-the box directions don’t mention that and I was having issues getting the filter in. Took caps off and got it in no problem

Our repairman had to thaw ours out. We removed and cleaned everything but still had a rank odor. I'm going to replace air filter and see if that helps.

The new filter does click in. Also can't get led light out to replace it.

So the air filter only exposes the charcoal filter on one side, on the other side, the cardboard stays in place? Thank you, John

My gallery French door is older. Built in late 2011. All of a sudden the water is freezing up most every day. Fridge works fine. Ice maker is crap but I can get it to work from time to time.

If you look in the description of this video there is a link to the de-Icing process for this fridge..it is lengthy but it should fix the problem for a little while.

I have had my filter in for about a year and a half yet the indicator light does not change as the manual says it should. I did contact Frigidaire and all they said was to change the filter every 6 months. They didn't tell me why my indicator light does not show that I need to replace it. Any ideas?? Thanx

Thank you. I am having a problem with the filter locking in place and I did purchase the name brand one. I tried putting the used filter back in and it is also not locking into place. Any suggestions?

As long as it’s the correct filter you have to push it past the housing and it will click and then back out a little bit into place. I believe I show it in the video…

I just replaced the filter on the fridge side and everything is working fine xits not a sensor or motor or cleaning . Just replace filter

I keep my fridge at 33 degrees F. I do this because of the frequent ice maker problem with this unit.

I bought a new Frigidaire UltraWF Water Filter, just what you have in this video but when I compared the weight of it with the one being replaced, I found the one being replaced as much heavier. Is it normal?

The one being replaced is always going to be heavier. If you simply remove it from refrigerator it is full of water. If you remove all the water from it you still have all the weight of the materials that were filtered out of the water in the filter. I hope that helps.
