I just purchased this range yesterday. Once delivered, it was installed and worked perfectly fine. Later in the evening, the range began to beep out of nowhere. Once I push off, it will go off and start beeping again about 20 seconds later. Do you know why that is so?

We’ve owned our Frigidaire Induction range for 4 years now and it is a dream. Best range we’ve ever owned. We don’t use our oven as often. I think I’ve done a self-cleaning once. We’re retired and I do have a counter top air fryer. And we’re vegan so vegetarian meat dishes don’t require very long cooking. We don’t cook with oil except rarely so without gas burners, the kitchen cabinets do not get greasy with a sticky varnish you have a hard time cleaning. Love, love, love the induction. Yes, boiling water is super fast. Cleaning the induction top is quick and easy and after 4 years of use, the whole unit looks brand new. I’ve had electric oven which was a Jenn Air with two burner modules. I liked it, but it had also char broil on the top, the meat tasted incredible but it was awful to try to clean. We use Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner. Works well, we also tried a different brand but the Weiman is our preferred one now. We switched to vegetarian diet as my husband had Prostate Cancer, my mother and sister also died of breast cancer - so, for going vegetarian is better for both of us. The one thing I don’t use on my cooktop but put on a separate one burner induction single burner, is my wok. I like that as it has controls which give me the temperature. That is the only thing I wish my range had. One has to be sure they don’t leave the burner on “P” as it is just to get it hot too fast due to the carbon steel which is different than stainless, I’ve found. I think that was my problem. The one burner the right front, got a mar on it from the wok with was difficult to clean off. As I have the other induction burner I use for the wok, I have a lot of pride in my range. It always looks beautiful. Will take the single induction top with us for our motor home though. Yes, one has to have the right pots and pans. It would be nice if the number settings have a temperature settings as I’ve found that very intuitive with my Rosewell induction single burner. The Frigidaire was so much more affordable. The electric hook up has to be what the range calls out, so if your electrician is difficult, as ours was reluctant, I told him what it requires and so we needed the the circuit breaker and proper plug with the right amperage and gauge wire in the wall. If you know about these thing which are fully explained in the owner’s manual, you’ll get the best out of your range. Not everyone is familiar with induction so insist they put the electric in for the range according to the specifications. Would I buy this range again? Yes, but it isn’t showing a bit of wear at all. Not like having a gas range where you just wish your could get it to look clean after the first year. Mine looks like it was just installed! As I said, my range does not do the steam clean and has only two racks. I do have a counter top air fryer. But we paid about $800 for our Frigidaire range 4 years ago. Yes, it was more than the gas but it is so much safer and stays so much clearer. I am always cooking as I love to cook. It makes cooking a delight. My husband enjoys cooking on it. I asked him if he ever missed cooking with gas and he says “No way. This is so-o-o-o much better!” I did call Frigidaire to see if I could bridge the left front and back to use the Cuisinart Griddle and they said yes. I’d been considering the GE. Basically they do the same function but cost about $500 for the same function at the time. Never been disappointed in my Induction range by Frigidaire. There was a model which did not do Convection bake, mind does the convection and it does make food quite crisp on the Quick Bake. No stores carried the range we wanted but we ordered from Best Buy. And except for a long wait, the installation was very good. No other company in town had any induction ranges. When one has to start learning how to protect the one you love from cancer, it is worth learning. Inhaling uncombusted gas fumes is not good for health either. The top does not stay as hot in comparison to a radiant glass top like my Jenn Air was. So much better. Any range requires being careful but with the controls on the back, it is safer for our grand kids. For that reason, I did not like the more expensive slide in range. Ours has the controls on the back. Two thumbs up. Frigidaire!

@@JoesPhenomenalI am 69 and my husband is 70. He only takes one pill a day: blood pressure, though his is not sky high, even so, only one. I take no medications at all except if I need an allergy pill. Most in our same age bracket, if they want to avoid dementia and having stints put in, would be better for their health to go to a diet which is not causing heart disease. Dr. Esselstyn worked with seniors and reversed heart disease and no more heart attacks so long as they followed the diet. The same reasons why people get heart disease also clogs arteries to the brain. I do a lot of typing, as it is part of my daily therapy for my hands. I recovered from crippling arthritis by changing my diet. Went dairy-free to give that a test and I got out of my wheelchair and have not looked back. My dad died of Alzheimer’s. So keeping my wits about me is top priority as I had to take care of him. We have twin grandsons, soon to be 2 years old. And their parents work full time so we are over helping out a lot. And I want to be a blessing and not have the burden my parents, through their lack of knowledge about health, put on my shoulders. If we are well, everyone in the family benefits. Yes, I do sleep well and am not in pain. Glad for the internet and I would wish that people would use it to find ways to stay well as I did. Not all we think is healthy can be or we would not have so much diseases as we get older and the obesity is major right now. Learning how to cook and how to do it quickly, keeping everything clean, these are major advantages. You should see if AARP Magazine would do a story on the benefits for seniors with induction. It would benefit you but also would benefit so many who are downsizing which we did so we had the money to get the appliances we wanted. Thanks for the response.

Great review Joe! I just bought my Gallery Induction Range and am getting used to it. My wife made strawberry jam today and made a huge mess. Clean up with the glass cooktop was magically delicious and easy cheesy peasy! I've got a few question that you or your readers might be able to help me with. My questions have to deal with the different control panel options and when I should use which option. 1. Why wouldn't I use CONVECTION roast or bake every single time instead of standard baking or broiling? 2. Quick Preheat- Why don't ALL of the options have quick preheat automatically added instead of having a special button for Quick Preheat? Should I use Quick Preheat and then switch over to Conv Bake or Conv Roast after it preheats? 3. What is the practical/actual difference between Air Fry and Conv Bake? Anyone feel free to please chime in! Keep up the good work Joe!

Heya Brian... Glad you're enjoying you range. Yes! That cleanup is amazing. Especially for me since I have to clean it every day to make sure it looks good on KZbin. Our gas range used to make me 30 or 40 mins to clean each time, since I had to scrub the grates and everything all the time. Now, it's like 30 seconds. haha. As for as the bake and roast, you will want to use convention more so when you have uncovered stuff on multiple shelves and you need to even the heat out as much as possible. For other situations, it's not needed (but I usually just convect all the time anyway, out of habit). Just remember that covection bake and roast times are shorter than conventional, so if you are following a recipe , you have to adjust times and\or temperatures. The "quick" options use a lot more power, so maybe that's why they keep it optional??? But you can do that and then switch over when it's at temp and that's no problem at all. Lastly, the air fry feature is basically convection baking with the fan running a lot faster. Also, I think it pumps out more heat at the same time... Either way, the results are good. If you do decide to do some air frying in it, be sure to check out my video about reducing smoke coming out of the range. Air fry can be annoying that way. Hi Joe. Thanks for the in-depth review. Also enjoyed the review on the Costco 5 ply cookware set. Very informative. I saw someone asked about using a 12" pan in a previous post. The markings on the cooktop are misleading. The right front marking is 11.5" in diameter but the coil, under the cooktop, is only 8.3". The two on the left side are 7" and the RR is 5.5". I boiled water in a 12" frying pan. on the right front, and you can see where the heat is applied and is about 8" in diameter. Via conduction, heat will eventually spread to the outer areas of the pan. Deal breaker? I don't know. Would've preferred an 11" coil, LG induction stove, but that would've cost 2.5 times as much as this stove. For me, it didn't justify the cost. I've had it about 2 weeks. So far, I'm happy with it. Also, I've found if you hold your finger on the buttons they work fine. I assume Frigidaire added a little time delay to prevent accidentally turning on the cooktop or oven. Keep up the good work!

Welttiger, I did the water boil test on all 4 burners and it seems to me that my cooktop doesn't auto scale. I used a 12 inch wide baking sheet to do this test. On the two burners on the left side, the ring was about 4-5 inches wide. I would've though it would activate the max 7 inch coil for these. On the right front burner, the ring was about 6 inches in diameter. Is that what you have seen on yours? Or does this seem odd to you too? Thanks

We purchased this exact Frigidaire Gallery Free-Standing Induction Range, in black stainless steel, a few months ago. This range is model#: GCRI3058AD. This range replaced a 5 year old (still working) Whirlpool gas range that came with our new home when we had it built 5 years ago. We absolutely love this Frigidaire Induction Range, and so far we have no complaints at all regarding the range. We received a great deal on this range at Lowe's, and we even got them to throw in the Frigidaire Air-Fry oven rack for free (with a little negotiating). However, the delivery and "installation" by Lowe's was a joke. The delivery crew was clueless, so I ended up installing the range myself. At least I know the range is installed safely and securely though. The required 240v/50a-4 conductor electrical circuit was actually more expensive to have installed than the cost of the range itself. Go figure... lol. The induction cooktop works great. It heats super fast, and it cooks very evenly. We have used up to a 12.5 inch round griddle pan on the largest "burner" with no problem at all. Cleanup of the ceramic cooktop is a breeze. We use Pledge all-surface cleaner to clean the cooktop, and then seal it with automotive ceramic paint sealer. Absolutely nothing sticks to the cooktop after sealing it, and it really shines. We have also found that the quality of the cookware used has a LOT to do with how well the induction cooktop functions. We have a brand new set of Circulon Premier Professional Cookware, and they all work great with this range. The Circulon cookware heats evenly, with very minimal (if any) buzzing or vibrating. The Air-Fry oven is amazing. The oven heats up quickly. It also bakes, convection bakes, air fries (with the Air-Fry oven rack) , and broils to perfection. The convection fan runs even during regular baking, to circulate heat, and it is very quiet. The steam-clean feature works well to get superficial grime off of the bottom of the stove, but it does not do much else in the way of cleaning the upper oven walls. We have not had to use the regular (super hot) oven cleaning mode yet, so I cannot comment on how well it works at this point. For those "complaints" about the control panel sensitivity. The buttons actually work like the "long-press" function on a smart cell phone screen. Press the on/off button lightly for a couple of seconds to turn the oven and burners on and off. The incremental burner heat adjustments can be changed by holding down the plus or minus buttons until the display shows the heat setting you want.There is no need to "poke" at the control panel buttons as some people have stated the need to do. It takes a while to get used to the button sensitivity, but once you do it becomes second nature. FYI...There actually are two beeps when you push the temperature change buttons. One beep when you actually push the button, and a second beep, about 2 to 3 seconds later, when the temperature actually changes. The only minor complaints that we have about the Frigidaire Induction Range are superficial and cosmetic. We wish that there was actually more black stainless steel trim, as it looks amazing. Also, as with almost all ranges in this price range, the bottom storage drawer is kind of cheap and flimsy. I had to tweak the drawer in order for it to slide straight into its compartment, but the drawer functions correctly now, and it is very handy to store the cookware that we don't hang on the overhead pot rack. As I stated previously, so far we are loving this Frigidaire Induction Range. Hopefully it will hold up over time, as things are not made anymore like they used to be. We have not had any of the issues with our range that some reviews have complained about. Those very limited and random complaints include, a defective or touchy control panel, off-center or non-functional burners, or a loud convection fan. So far it looks like we received a "perfect" range functionally and cosmetically, and we truly hope it remains that way. Frigidaire actually has a KZbin video that shows complete disassembly and reassembly of the range, for those that like to do their own DIY repairs after the warranty expires. It looks like most of the range's components are modular and plug-n-play, so they should be easy to order and replace in the future, if necessary. I highly recommend this Frigidaire Gallery induction range for anyone looking to get away from gas or standard electric type stoves. There are a lot of features on this range for the price, and you can always find some great deals on this range at a lot of the big home center stores. If anyone has any questions regarding this Frigidaire Gallery induction range, just let me know, and I will be happy to answer them. I have learned a LOT about this range in the short time we have owned it. 🙂

Awesome insight! Thanks for taking the time to write all that out. It's super helpful for our audience. I agree with just about everything you said there. We were lucky that we had an electrician friend that came in to add our 240v outlet. It ended costing us a lot less to put it, UT it was an expense that we were ready expecting as soon as we startedokking for ranges since we knew we'd have to do it if we purchased an induction range. Sorry to hear about Lowe's dropping the ball on ya. That sucks. Weird though... It shouldn't be all that difficult an installation.

@@JoesPhenomenal Thanks for the positive feedback on my breakdown of the Frigidaire Induction Range. It is much appreciated. Anything I can do to help out, while promoting a great product, is no problem at all for me. Yeah, I usually have a good experience with Lowe's customer service, but they really screwed up on this one. Not only was the range delivered over 3 weeks late, their "included installation" was non-existent. Also, hindsight is one of those things that you sometimes just have to say, "Yeah, we really should have done that when we first had the chance." When we had our new house built 5 years ago, there was an "option" to have a 240v/50a circuit installed in the kitchen for around $250. The construction came standard with a natural gas hookup and a 120v/20a dedicated electrical circuit included behind the stove, since the house came standard with a Whirlpool 5 burner gas range (which worked well). However, the current cost to have the new 240v/50a circuit installed was around $1,100. This is mainly because 6 gauge, 4 wire electrical cable is going for around $7 a foot right now, and the run from the circuit breaker box to the kitchen was over 75 feet. Live and learn I guess....lol. I would say that the electrical circuit installation cost was well worth it though, since it enabled us to get this great Frigidaire Induction Range. I would have done the electrical circuit installation myself, as I have done this type of work before, but I am friends with a local electrical contractor, and I wanted a licensed installer to do the work, so there is no permit or installation questions during a possible future home-sale or refinance inspection. 🙂

@@hollomand8770That is very peculiar indeed. We have had the Frigidaire Gallery Induction Range for about 18 months now, and it has worked flawlessly in all of this time (knock on wood). Have you tried "rebooting" the range by unplugging it or shutting it off at the circuit breaker for a few minutes? Sometimes this helps to reset computer controlled electronic devices (like rebooting the MS Windows OS). Also, check to make sure that the 240v/40a pigtail cord is connected tightly to the range. The Lowe's installers left the cord on our range very loose, so I re-tightened it before I installed the range myself. Hopefully, you did not get a "lemon," but it happens. If this issue continues, I would contact your place of purchase and/or Frigidaire and request a replacement stove. They both usually give you 30 days to exchange a bad range. Honestly, this is a great range in our own personal experience. Good luck!😊

I'm finding response of cooktop buttons is more a function of time rather than pressure. My unit came with Cuisinart cookware which I gave away. Purchased good quality non-stick aluminum pans with induction discs cast into pan bottoms. Very even heat with almost no induction noise, good combo. Cast iron is good for oven applications where lids and handles may not take the heat. Cast iron on cooktop I use parchment which can have a moisture barrier material in it. This will transfer to cooktop glass. Barkeepers Friend is mild abrasive to clean and not scratch glass.

I am an Induction Fan! who just started using a rice cooker. Aroma has introduced 2 new induction units, the ARC7604 and ARC7606B with7606 being a bit larger with more features. Both have multi-grain setting with a profile to cook difficult grains. I like whole grain Emmer Wheat Farro which is the hardest grain to cook. The 7604 takes 2) 1 1/2hr cycles to cook this grain, non-induction take 3 cycles. Grain is firm chew and nutty and very nutritious. Quinoa cooks much faster in one cycle with 1/2hr soak. Emmer is 6hrs keep warm, 8hr soak and 3hr cook. In my mind it is worth it. Use a flavored broth for both and add a diced chili.

I just bought one from Home Depot and it came last Friday (July 22nd, 2022). I LOVE it. Yes, the air fryer smokes a bit when using it but it has no effect on the cleanliness of the stove nor the quality of the chicken, which came out very tasty each time (4 so far) that Ive used it. I love this stove and for $899 I think I got a bargain, I'll take an oven air fryer over a portable one any day. One last thing. Unfortunately the stove makes noises when it is heating up but hey, with the quality of the food and the price I paid I'll tolerate it.

Hi, Outreach. Noise from the induction burners is mostly noise coming out of the pan due to vibration of the iron molecules. Different types of pans produce varying amounts of noise. You got yourself a great deal on that! Good for you! We are pretty happy with ours as well. I have a video about how to minimize if not eliminate most of that smoke from the oven. I just got this exact range two days ago. Although everything works fine, the oven fan is very noisy - like a big truck idling - and after looking at many online reviews and YT posts (something I wish I'd done before I bought it), this appears to be a common issue. Did you encounter excessive noise when you tested the stove? Is there a fix for this? There are a lot of unhappy people out there complaining about Frigidaire's poor service and/or inability to fix it.

@ashima saraf I also own this Frigidaire Induction Range. This is a great induction range, but a noisy convection fan seems to be a common complaint in a few of the reviews that I have read. Most of the time this noise is caused by a loose fan hub nut, improperly installed at the factory. You will need to remove the induction fan cover at the back of the oven in order to access the fan. First, unplug the range or turn off the power at the breaker. Then, remove the oven racks. Then, remove the top and bottom cover screws with a 1/4 inch nut driver, and then remove the cover. Then, tighten the nut that holds the fan hub on the spindle. Be careful not to over-tighten the nut, or damage the "Air-Fry" heating element that surrounds the convection fan. Hopefully this helps resolve your noisy convection fan issue. 🙂

@@waynegomillion4976 Fortunately, our Frigidaire induction range has worked perfectly in all aspects since day one (knock on wood). However, we have some friends that have this same range, and the convection fan was making a loud rattling noise. I did this convection fan repair on their range for them, after watching a You Tube video showing how to do it. After the repair, the noise was gone. The convection fan in this oven is a little louder than some other oven brands anyway, and the fan runs (slower) even during the regular bake mode. However, the fan should not be making any unusual rattling, squeaking or whining noises. As for voiding the warranty. Normally, any time you "tinker" with any new device that is still under warranty you risk voiding said warranty. However, what Frigidaire doesn't know won't hurt them, or you. 😉

Very thorough review and well done. My primary reason for buying this range is the Induction Cook Top. “Induction is Awesome!” That pretty much sold me. We’ve got a great set of All Clad Stainless so I know they will work well but we will be looking for some high quality non stick pans. We’re having the Frigidaire model number #GCRI3058AF I do look forward to the easy clean surface and based on your description, the air fry feature sounds good. I have some concern about the touch pad panel controls, I think I would prefer knobs but I’m hoping the touch pad works well once we get used to it. Once again for an objective but very positive review. You helped me with our buying decision.

I basically talked my wife into trying the Induction in the kitchen and now I really want it to make her happy with things like eggs and grilled cheese. I don't have any personal experience with Le Creuset, but they are supposed to be pretty badass. The ninja nonsticks are relatively new, but they get really great reviews. Probably I would think the Le Creusets would be better, but the Ninjas would be better value... They really do give you quite a bit for the money with they're other products, but it's hard to say for sure without trying em out myself. Hint hint, @NinjaKitchen. All that being said, remember that nonsticks have a relatively short life in general... They will lose that nonstick ability over the course of a few years... The tradition ones anyways. There are a lot of different surface types for that now that all claim much longer lifespans.

We had the previous version of this stove (I'm talking about the slide-in range version). This new one is not nearly as nice. The digital buttons are a real pain to manipulate, the drawer in the bottom is super tiny. Also, this new range does not have the range top overlap the countertop.... which means there is a gap between the range and the counter... but from what I've seen all manufacturers have gone this way. EDIT: Also, there is now a lip at the edge of the stove top that didn't used to be there, which makes it harder to clean.

Hey Joe, I've had this range for 10 months now and thought of this review after doing a steam cleaning. Maybe it's because I cook for one, but I use the oven 3-4 times a week, and in 10 months I've only needed to steam clean so far. Steam clean doesn't take it to fresh out to the box, but it's still quite nice and saves me needing to do the big clean for longer. My sense, from previous ovens is that the big self-clean takes a toll on the inside lining. Am I wrong?
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal 10 ай бұрын
Hmmm... That's an interesting perspective. I think for light users like yourself, that feature might work a lot better since you aren't letting the oven get too dirty. I dunno if the self clean hurts the inner liner, but I do know that oven cleaners typically mess up the nonstick surface in them a bit. If anything, the self clean uses a whole lot of power though.

Not sure why it turns off quicker. I was hoping your review would include the sound your oven makes when on. Good point on the long presses. Once you get used to it's it's not so bad. I was going to try to include dB levels in the oven, but when I do my edits and fix my voice audio, it tends to drop the background oven noise down, so it's really hard to show it. I was a little annoyed by the noise at first also, but I hardly notice it all all anymore unless I'm recording and I need to make it really quiet. I think the air fry function added in there has something to do with the extra noise? I dunno... Kind of guessing at that a bit though.

Great review! Question: You mentioned about inadvertently moving a pan off center. If/when that happens, does the induction area move with the pan, so that the pan continues to be heated across its entire bottom even if it’s not centered? Or must it stay centered? Thanks!

Heya! Thanks! It activates the rings out from the center, so if it's off center, it probably triggers the outer rings a little. I do that all the time when I stir, an di haven't had a problem with uneven cooking or anything. I re-center quite a bit just because, though.

Cooling fan. I have recently purchased an LG LSE4616STSS. The cooling fan is extremely loud. After you’re done cooking, it continues to cool very loudly so you have to continue listening to the cooling fan while you’re eating your meal. Especially in the morning when it’s quiet and there’s no noise in the house, this fan continues to hum. Is the Frigidaire cooling fan loud as well?

Hi! Are you talking about the convection fan? If so, that fan makes a bit of noise, but only whne you have the oven on. You can hear it in my newer videos where the oven is in use. I don't believe it stays on after the oven is turned off, though. However, I will Be making soufflé later on today, and will double check that for you and get back to you on it.

OK... Just finished the soufflé. As soon as we shut our oven down, the convection fans turn off. They're a little noisy when we are baking with convection turned on, but our oven is silent when we just do a regular bake. Also when we shut the oven off, the fan shuts off too. Maybe that's just something weird with the LG?

I have this exact stove and I love it, bought it dec 28 2021, 1. 5 yr later and one of the burners ( the small one) does not work. It acts like you have taken the pot off and turns itself off. Just a heads up on the cost of fixing this, I was quoted almost $500 (ontario canada) just for the power generator board for one burner, not including the service call. Because the warranty is up by 6 months Fridgidaire will not help with any of the cost. I only hope I don't lose any more burners or it will be cheaper to by a new one, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Does the oven get really warm on outside when using air fry? I have been debating on buying an oven with air fry. The smaller air fryers don't give off heat on the outside when used, like a microwave. My house gets hot in the summer and I don't like turning my oven on then for that reason.
@JoesPhenomenal

Heya, Alexandra. It gets a little warm from the hot exhaust during the air fry... It heats a lot more space than the small air fryers, so I guess that has to be a bit of a byproduct. In the summers, it does make a noticeable difference in heat in the house... Air frys are typically not super long though, so it's not heating the place up like roasting a turkey or anything, but still.

The manual is wrong. Bake will alternate fan for 24 seconds on and 36 seconds off: repeats the 60 seconds algorithm. This also changes depending on the temperature: higher temps have different algorithms. CONV BAKE: the fan will turn on for 36 seconds and off for 24 seconds. This oven works with 1 (60 seconds) intervals. The book says fan is continues, but it’s wrong. I called up and Frigidaire said the fans alternates on and off. Then again, on repair tech that serviced range said it alternates and another tech from the same company said “No. it should stay on continuously”. Go figure. @Delta York The "noise" is hardly noticeable at all. We own this Frigidaire Range, and a new open concept home, and we barely notice when the range is on. There is a very low convection fan noise from the oven, and a quiet clicking from the induction elements as they turn on and off to adjust temperature. The control panel "beeps" on every button press, and there is a delayed beep when changing stovetop temperatures. However, you can turn off the control panel beeping completely if you so desire. The potential (and normal) "vibrating" and "buzzing" noises you may hear from the induction cooktop comes from the quality (or lack thereof) of the cookware that you use. We use Circulon Premier Professional Cookware on this range, and it works great. There is hardly any noticeable vibrating or buzzing sounds at all with this Circulon Cookware, and it heats and cooks very evenly. I hope this information helps you make a decision on purchasing this range, if you haven't already. 🙂

Yep.. If you have the griddle across 2 burners, it should be fine... There will be some areas that are hotter than others though. Keep in mind that the small air fryers will always be a little faster since there so much less space to heat, but the oven versions can do way larger capacity. A couple of tips on the oven air fryer... To be sure you don't get too much smoke be sure to put a sheet pan lined with parchment paper on the shelf below your air fry tray to catch moisture, keep the inside of the oven as clean as possible, and whatever oil you use, be sure it has a high smoke temperature (avocado oil is 520 degrees). @VUGAMI This Frigidaire induction range requires a 240volt/40amp dedicated circuit. Nothing else can be on that circuit, period. That is 9,600 watts of total power consumption capability. We installed a 50 amp electrical circuit in our house, just to have a buffer, as it was the same cost as a 40 amp circuit. The 6 gauge, 3 wire or 4 wire electrical circuit reqirement will depend on the age of your home. Older homes (built before 1996) use mostly 3 wire, 240 volt electrical circuits, but modern homes and new circuit installations require 4 wire circuits, per National Electrical Code. The Frigidaire range does not come with an appliance cable. That will cost another $30+ for a 6 gauge, 50 amp, 4 wire appliance cable, which must be wired to the range during its installation. You can also "direct-wire" the range without using an appliance cable, if necessary. Just remember, if you install a 4 wire appliance cable, you must remove the grounding strap on the range's electrical connection block, so that the neutral and ground are not bonded. The 3 wire cable connection requires the grounding strap, as there is no neutral wire to connect. Failure to remove the grounding strap on a 4 wire connection will trip the circuit breaker and/or damage the range. Hopefully, this is helpful information for anyone needing to know the electrical requirements of this range. 🙂

Awesome review. We picked up this oven, in part, because of it. I wanted to try the air fryer right away. Cooked packaged frozen coconut shrimp and it went great. But then I air fried 2 dozen home made chicken wings and bought myself a 3 hour degreasing/clean up job of the brand new oven! Any tips on how to do this with out blowing grease into every corner of my oven (and racks)? Or is the air fryer meant for things like tater tots and crispy fries?

Heya, Eric. Congrats on yournew range! I put a sheet pan lined with foil on the shelf dirently under the air fry tray to catch as much of that residual juice as possible. It should catch most of that stuff, but if there's any splattering going on, it does get messy. My Thanksgiving turkey wreaked havoc on mine. LOL. Usually I just let it cool down, and shoot it with some oven cleaner, let that sit for an hour and it seems to wipe pretty clean. Have you tried the oven's self clean? That works pretty good too, but if you do that, be sure to remove all the shelves... self clean can warp those.

@@charlieandsamantha5683 Hi! Yep... That's the way it works. With the conv. bake options it alternates the fan on and off just enough to keep the internal temperature even throughout the oven. @@JoesPhenomenal Hi and thank you for replying. I had four techs over four months for different issues. The last tech said the CONV bake should stay on, as indicated in the owner’s manual. Last week, the fourth tech came and the placed the mother board (the top panel) and another board for the oven. Then he asked me why did the last tech put in this request? I said that the last tech said it’s not supposed to alternate and you said it should. Confusing. Just bought the version with the control panel in front. We love it! You don't have to press hard on the buttons. You have to hold your finger on the button for the burners about a second to turn them on. You only have to touch the same button to turn it off. This is to avoid turning burners on by accident. You really have to have all your ingredients ready before you start cooking. My pans heat so quickly that your oil or butter will burn in a few seconds after turning the burner on. Another feature I like is the burners will turn off after several seconds if there isn't a pan on them. The Fridgidaire is such a bargain compared to most of the other brands. It lacks a couple of things that would have been nice like a fifth burner or a bridge between burners to use a griddle or roasting pan, but for the price I have no complaints.
