Oh my god... There really are too many guys like that too! Just a week ago I was talking about how I weed out men on dating sites. I set up a boundary and if they blow past it then I blow past them. For example I'll tell my prospective date that, "I'm not comfortable with touching and cuddling too soon." Which is sometimes true, but usually if I'm vibing I'm totally fine with cuddles and heck maybe more... However I've found that if I tell men that I'm ok with cuddles then they think they have a right to it and become angry if I don't give it to them. So now I tell perspective dates that I'm not ok with it and I see how they react. Anyway, this guy gets on the mic and tells me I'm the problem. That I lie to men and then judge them for being creepy. I can't believe I had to explain to him that I do not feel bad for weeding out assholes who cannot respect my boundaries. That I don't bat an eye when it comes to saving my time and potentially my life by seeing if a man can pass the, "Will he try to sexually harass or rape me if I say no" test... A test any man should be able to easily pass but unfortunately too many cannot.

Clever, that's like the advice to at a bar tell men who are trying to buy you drinks (while you are both right in front of the bartender) that you don't want alcoholic drinks but a glass of water (or a Shirley Temple) would be nice if they want to buy you one. If they get angry about your refusal to drink alcohol, that is a gargantuan red flag. While if they are happy to, then they likely are actually genuinely interested in your mere company and maybe some sober sex if you two hit it off like that.

“Creeps wouldn’t do anything in public” HUH YEAH ABOUT THAT??? I was sexually assaulted in broad day light, in the stairwell to the dock to the subway station I took to go home after summer classes during the rush hours after work. The old man was grabbing at my breast and trying to forcefully kiss me and HUNDREDS of people who were going home from work passed us and did nothing. I was 13, the only thing I did was to let him pass in front of me to get off the bus because I was talking with my friend and wasn’t in a hurry. People will ABSOLUTELY not care about where or when they’re doing their molesting. I hate when people say that “it doesn’t in broad daylight in front of people” because it absolutely does.

I occasionally wear my JSKs when doing domination scenes, but it is distinctly to subvert the expectation that BDSM is entirely about sex and that being a dominatrix is about being firmly centered inside the male gaze. I could probably also make the case that just wearing my JSKs and not a full co-ord isn't really "wearing lolita" since I'm not trying to capture the neotenous femininity that's the complete rejection of society's expectation for womanhood, but I think that's kind of splitting hairs. Needless to say I'd probably understand why some lolitas would find me wearing lolita JSKs during an arguably sexual act to be objectionable, but that wouldn't really sway me much. I think I'm doing so in the spirit of the fashion: rejecting the idea that I need to dress for MEN instead of myself just to navigate my place in my job and the world.

@@valeriethompson5483 Yeah, I'm all for doing what you want with your clothing and personal life, it's just that because of the general public's already poor view of Lolita due to it's name, it really isn't fair to further associate it with sexual acts and kinks, even if it's not something sexual to you. Some "littles" age regress as a coping mechanism and don't see it as a kink at all, but your average person would, which is why we don't want them wearing lolita with a pacifier in their mouth and posting it in lolita tags on social media.
