I would love to see Fringe rebooted. Especially with the advances in the sciences today. One of the best parts of the show was the slight alteration between the seasons. This meant the characters interacted with each other differently each season. No other show I can think of does or has done this.

i have been researching for every episode after or in the middle of watching it. to know how possible it is. and it kind of change my perception about reality. cause when you think some of this hold truth. no matter how little the truth is. it show like the laws of nature is not that simple. so when you see these and the possibility. i think it help you understand what reality actually is. cause the direct reality from reading physics seem like they dont allow these. but then when you see this and see how can it be possible. it just change the way you see things

I agree that Fringe was under rated; I thought it was because of the Pandemic. It deserved five more seasons. Was I right that one of the episodes dealt with Quantum Entanglement? The theory of Quantum Physics makes a show like Fringe to be believable. The helmet-were you referring to the God Helmet? Spontaneous Combustion should be easy to solve. My theory has to do with the Diabetic or the elderly. It is known that those two groups have a higher concentration of Acetone in their bloodstream. Acetone is combustible. The other is Ethel Alcohol. That would apply to someone that drank more alcohol than the average person. Combine those two, add naturally occurring combustibility, like Oxidation, and a flame can start inside the bloodstream to the Aortas and cause the body to burn from the inside out. People use tanks of Oxygen if they need help with breathing; most notably the elderly.

It was awfully hard to follow. I have watch this over three times and I still see/hear/learn things I missed before. Even with all the articles on-line that have been composed, it's still complicated. But it's far better than the over rated X-Files where 2/3 of the episodes were NOT related to the supposed mythology (if you can call it that). Add the fact up to three months would go by without a mythology based episode.

No, not even close. This was FAR superior. The X Files had little chemistry between the players. here is was the opposite. This has a story, the X-Files was disconnected.

Similar in several episodes but the acting by the Olivia and Walter characters is beyond perfect.

I suppose one could say that The Rollin' Stones are just like The Beatles. Superficially, one would have a point. FRINGE is, in a cursory manner, just like the X-FILES. The similarities end fairly quickly and FRINGE ends up outshining the X-FILES on every metric.

One of the most underrated shows in recent television history. Lost was an epic story, and it wasn't underrated, it was huge. After he gives us lost, JJ Abrams them unleashes Fringe on the world, and those that missed out, missed out big. Its a Sci-Fi show on the surface. and thats probably what scared people away.. but, this show is so much more than science. This is a show about love and family. It is a crying shame that it only got 5 seasons. This show could have easily done double that. There were plenty more stories to be told in the Fringe universe. But, the ratings just werent there. Idiots needed another police procedural or medical soap drama.. they couldnt get on board with a sci-fi based show like Fringe. But luckily the fans that did exist were enough in number and volume, that season 5 was a reality. I cant imagine what the world would be like if Fringe was left unfinished. These characters, and this world, deserved a final chapter. We needed it. And thank god someone at Fox saw that. And you know, as much as the science of Fringe is excellent.. now when I rewatch Fringe, I tend to skip the first couple episodes. I'll watch the Pilot, and then I skip to like 5 or 6, the episode where we meet Jones. Because the first episodes are just standalone "fringe science csi". There is some character development that isnt important for a fan doing a binge rewatch.. but otherwise.. Ehh. The mythology of fringe, the larger story arc, is what this show is about. I read somewhere that Fox told the Fringe Team(pun intended) that they needed to do a couple standalone episodes for the first few episodes before they introduced the mythology and the larger series wide story arcs. I think thats incredibly ridiculous, and I think it probably drove people away who thought they would go ahead and try this new show out, and then after 3 or 4 episodes they find out its just a Science CSI show. They turn off before the juicy compelling stories start. Peter and Olivia origin and relationship, The Alt Universe, Walter Bishop, Massive Dynamic, The Observers, Peter.. I mean jesus christ.. IPm just glad Ive got the whole series box set on Blu-Ray. They took it off Netflix and I dont think its on HuLu. I cant ever be without my Fringe.

Bought the DVD complete series about six years ago. Dint start watching it on TV until the latter third season. Never missed an episode every Friday night until it's final season which network programing was frequently preempted .

My guess is people begun questioning the reality handed to them, so naturally Fox had to shelve the series. Sure, there were certainly problems with ratings, due namely to the complexity of the concepts, but isn't that the fault of the way we've evolved socially? Instead of questioning the concepts handed down and passed around, more than a Thai hooker with male genitalia, we've been socially groomed and conditioned into not asking big questions, because a population that simply accepts the societal norms is easily controlled, sold and marketed to, and consequentially profited from. I am among those fans who wish the show would have been able to continue, but society simply isn't ready to look beyond the curtain that's right in-front of us.

the "reality" handed them? your joking right? what reality is handed to people who watch fringe?. it is not s show of reality but of far fetched unreality with just a touch of truth to make it a bit more interesting... Fox let it go because the ratings dropped, period, it wasn't making them enough money! It was the loyal fan base that they had that allowed them to do a half season to finish it.. I think you just over thought this a bit.. It was just a good show that had it's time.. to blame the ending on Fringe on societal pressures is like saying the titanic sunk because the ship builders said it was unsinkable..
