What makes a good sci-fi series isn't so much the fantastical technologies and sciences, but the right balance between that, character development and action, plus the characters themselves have to be interesting. Fringe has all of that, plus mild and unexpected humour.

This is the best show ever and it keeps getting better all the time, so keep watching you wont regret it, except when you fall in love with all the characters and it ends in the 5th season! But then you just start over like I do, I am currently watching the whole show over again on Netflix, even though I have the whole series on DVD,lol! I'm on season 2!

I never watched it during its run but when it went on netflix I watched all 4 seasons. I can't wait until they put up the 5th season. I didn't like the first season as much as the others but it was still good. Many of the criticisms are from people who think it's confusing but I think its fine if you pay attention. It is worth watching. The characters alone make it worth it.

Thanks, Estelle! A very nice synopsis of all the reasons to watch Fringe -- minus the plot, of course. All very enjoyable clips -- I esp liked the Cow portions. I never really thought of Anna Torv (Olivia) as being attractive, in particular, but seeing the 'Lips' portion of your video, and the 'Talks with Hands' portions, maybe I've been young-and-foolish ... I kind of think the Fauxlivia as being perhaps more 'sexy' in a general way; maybe it's the haircut? Looking forward to the Season 5!

@Hootshot112 Though FOX isn't getting much money for Fringe anymore, Warner Bros. claims that the show isn't going anywhere. If this is true then perhaps they will move it to Syfy where it would do so much better. Look at how well Haven and Warehouse 13 have done.

Amazing! WOW! amen for "glasses" and "the cow"! But Spectacular Cases is the best of the west! If you like these kinds of things but less gross, I suggest Haven, another excellent show. Too bad Fringe is not on Syfy, cuz it would have run without any cancellation buzz for at least 10 seasons
