I know this is a comedy show, so I do not blame the The Opposition-team for not doing so, but as far as I can tell, US media is rarely interested in policy. Take that Roy Moore guy: The primary (and secondary) thing that was transported about him were his pedophile affections, but his (in my opinion at least) horrible policy ideas werent really analyzed and exposed. My call: if somebody wants to implement good policy, I would vote for him - irrelevant of him/her being an addict, pedophile (...). Same thing with this guy - hateable face, disgusting backround, but I wonder if 5% of the voters knew, what he actually stands for.

@Kit Palmer & thomas sky438 I disagree - especially with the statement of sociopathy: My premise was, that the discredited person (pedophile, drug addict...(whatever negative you want to place here)) would enact meaningful and good policy. I'd go even further and say that it's argueably more sociopathic (well, "anti-social" would be a better term) to not vote for a person who would invite good policy just because of his or her backround and instead vote for a person with a more pleasant backround, but that doesn't invite as good policies. Please keep in mind - and I think from this base both of your statements arose - that the premise was, that the person would want to enact good policy; my premise did not state that the person would install "bad" policy (like legalizing pedophilia for example) So even if a person did commit a truely horrible crime like murdering somebody, you could see the act of good policy making as a kind of reparation for the society as whole.
