I didn't like how Father Mark kind of skipped that subject and went for a book while Matthew touched something vulnerable like that for many people around the world. I saw him getting a bit emotional about it as well then smiling through a bit of pain. I might be reading too much from body language but I absolutely understand what he said.

@@kubasniak probably due to time honestly it’s a subject that can expand for hours since as Mathew said “many problems in society can be trace to a poverty of fatherhood” if I was to add to that will be unfortunately it’s an issue that dates back too far back and to many different civilizations, and it’s worldwide, it’ll definitely take time and some generations, but together with the love of God and Jesus we can start healing, also I feel The God from the Old Testament was mad and disappointed at his creation and humanly speaking he was probably mad at himself, probably even questioned if he did the right thing by creating us, that showed when he spoke to those men and in scripture, then he became a father, and yes we are his children, but this Son was different and even though He (Jesus) was to be sacrificed and suffered on the cross for our salvation he had mercy on us and nothing but unconditional love I feel He also transform God to a more loving caring merciful father we know now, that’s how transforming and beautiful parenthood can be, in a way all those men throughout history that either willing rejected their fatherhood or just didn’t know how to be their best version of themselves for their children missed out on the gift of unconditional love among others gifts, at the same time we cannot give something we don’t have, meaning these men didn’t have that father example, and probably not even motherly love, so they didn’t know how to obtain something they themselves lack 😌

As the Fatima visionary Sister Lucia said, "There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary." Look up the 15 Promises Mother Mary gave to St. Dominic to those who pray the full rosary (Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious mysteries every day). We have more free time than we think, but if you can't pray 3 rosaries...pray 2...if you can't pray 2 Rosaries, then pray 1. No matter what, PRAY THE ROSARY! My life has completely transformed by praying 3-4 Rosaries a day. I cannot recommend it enough. God Bless!

Please help me understand so I can too... how do you say so many Hail Mary's without them just becoming repetitive noise in your head? I say a rosary daily, but it's hard to focus. While I am focused, I mean every word with all my heart, like Mother Mary is right there, or like I'm personally witnessing Jesus in the Mysteries, but then sometimes the repetitiveness of it makes my mind wander, I chastise myself, and then focus again. How do you stay focused and keep your heart in it and mean every word, especially saying so many a day? I want to say more, but i don't want to offend Our Lord and Our Lady by repeating babble at them while my mind has wandered off. Help?

@@oneperson5760 I pray the Rosary every day and sometimes my mind wanders too. We're only human so that can happen! When I find it happening I just bring myself back to meditating on the particular mystery I'm praying. God understands that we're not perfect! Another thing I do is pray with the Mother Angelica Rosary videos here on KZbin. They're really beautifully done with music and gorgeous pictures to help me focus on the mysteries of the Rosary. When I finish the Rosary I ask Mother Angelica to pray for me. She was such a good and holy person!! I think she will become a saint one day!

​@@oneperson5760 Hey! Thank you for your comment. Honestly, I have trouble focusing on the mysteries and the words all the time. A great quote I heard was "The only bad Rosary is the one that you don't pray." We are human, so distractions will happen. St. Louis De Montfort (who wrote a book on the Rosary) even said, "It is also the hardest prayer to say well and to persevere in, owing especially to the distractions which almost inevitably attend the constant repetition of the same words." He goes on to say, "Do not let the multitude of flies (as I call the distractions that make war on you during prayer) make you abandon the company of Jesus and Mary in whose holy presence you are in when saying the Rosary." Ultimately, do the best you can when praying the Rosary, and NEVER give up, no matter what. With regards to praying 3-4 rosaries a day, the original Rosary that Mother Mary gave to St. Dominic is actually the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious mysteries all in a day. I really encourage you to watch "The Virgin Mary Life Changing" by GabiAfterHours on KZbin, along with his other Rosary/Fatima videos. I recommend praying 1 in the morning soon after waking up, 1 in the afternoon (after work, during a break etc) and 1 before bed. If you can find time to pray a 4th (Luminous Mysteries), that's even better! Since the full Rosary is one long prayer, you do not have to say the intro and closing prayers for every individual Rosary. Say the intro prayers during the Joyful Mystery Rosary (Apostle's Creed, 3 Hail Mary's, Glory Be), then say your closing prayers after your last Glorious Mystery Rosary (Hail Holy Queen, Final Prayer). I hope this helps, and I pray you try praying 3-4 Rosaries a day. It has completely transformed my life. Do not be discouraged!

@@anthonyJoseph941 ; The rosary is simply the poor man's Psalter ; There are 150 Psalms in the psalter and the 150 hail Mary's have replaced the praying of the Psalms. Praying the Psalms is far superior way of praying than using endless repetitions( which cause endless distractions and call that praying ! ) Christ himself said when you pray do not use vain repetitions . The Rosary without meditation on the Mysteries is likened to a body without a soul according to the late St Pope Paul VI. Prayer is the lifting up of the mind and heart to God , and not repeating 150 times for the Virgin Mary to pray for us sinners.( increased to 200 now ) If I asked you to pray for me , Anthony , would you pray for me ? If you said no , and i continued to ask you 150 times in an hour period , would you finally say yes or would you get angry. That is why the Lord Jesus said simply ask and you will receive and do not use vain repetitions in thinking by so doing by asking many many times in a short period that God will answer.

My own doctor actually said, how did you survive everything? All I said is “my faith”, she had no words. She never asked again. Some used to be fascinated with what my family have been through which has made us rather reclusive now. But, we didn’t like the interest it was rather not healthy for us especially after my brother’s funeral. All sorts showed up and we didn’t even announce it, we actually had my dad’s funeral in secret! We didn’t want the drama around us. Some really don’t understand it is not a reality show.

Amen, if only I could speak to my deacon who used to help me I would better understand. Amen as the Deacon told me once, Jesus only wants you, he wants your full attention, at the time I didn’t understand but now I do guess it took me what 5 years. But, when it comes to theology I was and still am rather ignorant I do the daily mass, be the good Catholic but, even after going through he school system I feel rather ignorant. Luckily they Deacon taught theology. I am now binging on Matthew’s book, what a great gift from Heaven I completely understood what Matthew was getting at if I am reading it right people were more focused on the gift and instead of the the message from our Lord. Yesterday I binge listened to Mathew’s book for 8 hours I truly feel the Lord speaking to my soul and heart. Anyways, I have always been weird but, guess I am a crackpot for Jesus. I could do worse. Thank you Father Mark for your wonderful suggestions always. Doing our Lord’s work. 🙏! Jesus’ love is like no other love you can find in this world. ❤️ That is all I can say and I doubt anyone will read but, the Lord will and that is what matters❤️ perhaps one p;reason who is needing encouragement one day will see, I no longer really pay much attention to what is going on in the world my eyes only on Jesus. I see something in Matthew that I see in you, Father. It's hard to put my finger on it. There's very few people I have come across that are like this. You shine with passion and truthfulness. Theres a real goodness in you and I see it in this man too. Unfortunately a lot of the people I see you speak with seem to lack this quality and some seem to slip in and out of it to varying degrees. I was never brought up to be religious but for a wee while now I've been searching for the truth and that quality in people like yourself has drawn me to the church. Mattie Harte talked about the same thing in his interview with Pints with Aquinas and I saw the same spark in him that he saw in the priest who helped him and the same spark that I see in you and in Mr Kelly.

Matthew Kelly was included in the book The Warning without his consent and against his will. I never felt right about that book and could not get myself to read The Warning. This was an incredible video. Thank you for having Matthew Kelly on. I do agree that everybody has mystical experiences-each fitting their own life, and circumstances. Nearly 7 years ago I believed that God instructed me to write a book, which turned into a trilogy. January will be seven years since I first started. I wanted nothing to do with it but He (God) wouldn’t back down, informing me that others said no to him. I felt that I had to say yes, whether it was true or not. I learned to write because I didn’t know how to-at all. Researching scenes, I was pretty good at. Needless to say, the book has changed my life for the better. I’ve grown closer to God because of it, and supposedly it will be published. Because of the things that are going on in the world, of course I wonder, but my faith says, ‘move forward and whatever happens is meant to be’. Listening to Matthew has only reaffirmed my understanding of excepting whatever will be will be. All that matters is that we have the child-like faith, walk on water, let Him hold our hand through it all. Excellent video! Thank you!

Thank you Fr. Mark and Mathew. I've never heard of you Mathew - please forgive me, so I looked you up. Although I had bought The Warning for my husband who is in care and he is still hanging onto it. Please keep reading the "Read More". I just wanted to share that you would have been born just a couple of months after my second child in Sydney in 1973 and I am gratified that this second child is taking notice of the messages published on Countdown To The Kingdom, as does another son. God is working on my other three children. So, can I say that perhaps it is little by little for many people. First amazement that anyone would get mystical messages. Excitement. Awe. Wonder. More amazement. Come back weeks, months, perhaps years later and re-read the messages! Read them again. Pray. And then one day the penny drops and the person starts to understand what the message is all about. All about God's love for us. That is what Eucharist is all about - God's love for us. Little by little! Going forward! My husband talked to one of his new, very morose companions who didn't want to talk with anyone - he said he just wanted to die. "Why don't you talk to God?" The man answered "I've forgotten any prayers I ever knew - it has been so long." My husband said "Well just talk to God - he's right beside you." The next day the man confided that he had talked to God and was feeling a bit better and would talk with him again that night. My husband learned the following day that the man had died peacefully in his sleep that very night. What a grace for both the man and my husband? Amen to your comment ! Obedience is better than sacrifices as it is written in (1 Samuel 15: 22-23). When we read the 10 commandments in (Exodus 20) it is only there that we see if our obedience is genuine or if our faith is only mystical experiences. I love both Christine Watkins and Matthew Kelly. They have both helped in my formation. I've been taught by Matthew Kelly in person and I've been motivated and inspired by his books and talks. I also agree with him regarding needing to focus on what's important in the messages rather than the experience but also how we are a mystical church and how mystical experiences should bolster our faith. What bothered me is how he criticized that Christine seemed to focus just on one thing within messages to make a general claim about the Warning, however, I realized, isn't that often how we show evidence and proofs to make a case? If I were to talking to a protestant about the Eucharist, I would quote all the passages in the Bible which talk specifically about it. I would narrow in on the points that make the specific case that it truly is the Body of Christ. I wish he recognized what Christine truly meant to do with the book in drawing people into the knowledge of what is coming and how we are called to conversion NOW!

Alexa we humans need to review and learn all the time. Thankyou for sharing on here so I can review and learn with you. I’m reading the New Testament bit by bit for the third time, at sixty years old. So much of it seems new. When I read the liturgical prayers and scriptures for the Mass each day, it’s often new to me, as well. Partly age related, but this has been my experience all my life as each liturgical year unfolds and as the same epistle and same gospel comes up they shine differently. I looked up Matthew Kelly videos yesterday and did some praying with his « process »... now I hope to help my grandson learn to pray that way. May God bless you.

Trust is cultivated in small steps of living in God's love which flows in through the commandments which may at first glance seem onerous and may be dismissed at legalistic. Both are mistaken human reactions. With God's grace, He can enable you, for example, to put Him first in all ways, to use His name only reverently, and attending Sunday mass (notwithstanding insurmountable obstacles like impassable weather or hospitalization etc.). View the commandments as paths of love. Doing this will give you confidence, peace, joy, and other fruits of the Holy Spirit. Lean on Him and not yourself. Don't fret if you're not perfect. None of us is. God allows us to be weak to keep us humble and dependent on Him. Thanks be to God for His love and mercy.

I think the Holy Trinity has an intense love for us. Jesus tells us if you love Me, keep My commandments. We used to sing at Mass "All that I am, all that I do, all that I'll ever have I offer now to you". Try to develop an intense love for Him back. Try to be His friend. Love what He loves. Spend time together. Get to know His friends, the saints, the Angels, His family the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, pray for all to be saved and for those working in His service. Try to be kind to others, too.

I've read some of Matthew's books and always marveled at his insight and ability to see clearly what takes place within us and what we can do to change ourselves for the better. He gives simple solutions for life's complex problems and situations. Amazing! I saw this and watched right away. Father, I have Matthew’s first books too - the Our Father and Words from God. They were life changing for me as well and I still pick them up and read bits from time to time. For me they serve to bring me right into the Lord’s presence as if He is speaking to me - which I know He is. I have many of Matthew’s books and learn a lot from them. I have received this gift praise God. It’s hard to see through God eyes as to what humanity has become. For years now I’ve been being told to write a book. People think most of us a crazy. But truly it is very very real. My sister keeps telling me these are from satan. Yes he is very real. I let her know there is no way I could get even get near the Eucharist. And to say my rosary a lot forget about it. This is an experience I would wish everyone could experience. I so needed to hear this right now. I have had them since I was 6yrs old. Christine I think your book is written in an attempt to do exactly what Matthew stated latter in the interview which was "Don't wait for it" (The Warning) That is to say change your life now before the warning. I think Our Lord has forewarned us now through Matthew, and others and also through your book to bring us to Him now so that we don't have to experience the full horrors of what we may have otherwise seen, had we not made some kind of change prior to the warnings fulfillment. I can personally attest that after many decades away from the Church leading a sinfully hedonistic lifestyle that I have come back to the church and am now discerning a vocation as a Diocesan Hermit under cannon 603 because God lead me to find the prophesies of Fr Michel Rodrigue and others via your website Countdown to the Kingdom, your book, Queen of Peace Media, Yourself, Mark Mallet and Daniel O'Connor and so on. To get my daughter to clean up her room. I am the type of person who likes a peaceful household and try not to raise my voice at my daughter. When my daughter was younger, I told her that I wanted her room clean by a certain day. If the room was not cleaned before that day, I reminded her that she would have to wait to use WiFii or watch TV until her room was cleaned. Now my daughter cleans without me asking her. Parenting is a skill anyone can learn if they want to.

Great message I am having similar experiences I used to be able to meet with my Deacon but, the parish has made them unavailable to all it seems. I will pray for someone to help me with this as I am not an expert on this. It normally happens when I am in deep prayer with Mother Mary. I know I sound bonkers but, I no longer care anymore. Great interview! Just waiting for mass to start! Matthew Kelly is so kind he has said kind things to me on his you tube. I was shocked at first and I always say God bless you Matthew.

I don't understand what could be dangerous about that book. It completely transformed my life. And don't understand what he means it's out of context. I think it is within the context- context of Bible, context of our times we live in, context of our own lives, context of all Marian apparitions where Mary talks about this event. I really don't get why he is against it.

I can't agree more. A friend gave The Warning book to my daughter at confirmation & I read it before her (had to know what was being passed on to my daughter). It changed my prayer life and I've researched others in the book to learn more about their stories. It led me to Countdown to the Kingdom and has put my prayer life and hope in God on Fire! Now all I want to do is please God - prior to the book as a luke warm Catholic I had my fingers crossed to get to purgatory. 🤞I still may end up in purgatory but it won't be due to lack of faith or prayer - fueled by the book The Warning. I pray it does happen and soon!! Our world needs an awakening.

Just because you improved after reading that book does not make Mr. Kelly wrong. He said it was dangerous and out of context. Pride goeth before a fall. Mr. Kelly is humble.
