According to Carl, Saudi is bad for boxing and their fight events lack any atmosphere "It's terrible! I tell it like it is!" until Turki gives you the VIP treatment which is what Carl was clearly chasing all along and suddenly the Saudi lack of atmosphere becomes "I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with it" from Carl. 🤣

Carl's changed his tune over time, but nothing wrong with that. Better than being stubborn and missing out on it all. And the points about the atmosphere still stand, of course. But to be fair, Turki speaks well and is open about the differences.

Well done Cobra great interview!! I thought there was no back sliding from you as you stood by what you originally said and qualified it by your experience at the last bout. No doubt for the average fan that doesn’t get to go to the stadium for the big fights Riyadh season has been awesome at delivering meaningful fights. I am happy that you are more closely involved but as a fan of yours I hope that you don’t get into the corporate bs that we hear from the likes of talk sport that are so fearful of loosing access to the promoters and the fighters. Don’t forget that the reason that Turki has had this interview with you is because of your reputation as a fighter and the fact that you tell it as you see it. Well done mate!!

I could not care less about the atmosphere at the venue to be honest. The atmosphere in my living room with the lads round for a beer and curry is great, plus we get to watch it at a reasonable hour.
