Ngl, people who 'hate' the Kayne encounter are either super low elo or onetricks/nonflexible players. Its definitely one of the more interesting encounters that forces the lobby to change their playstyle.

I don't care if it's for skilled players or not, this encounter is the best thing in whole set. Every decision you make feels like it matters, every slam, every one gold, every one hp. You need to be focused constantly, be prepared for every carousel, be scouting more than ever. One Kayn game feels like experiencing 25 regular TFT games. I fuckin love it.

I'm a casual player and I have had more than 5 Kayn games already and there's nothing fun about it. The person who wins is the one who high rolls in the early game every single time since no one ever has time to try to out cap their board. You can't leverage a lose streak either to catch up to him since he's gonna win regardless because the win is based on remaining hp. It also makes it whoever hit their 2 star 4 cost early will be at the top again with no time or hp to catch up. It's a gimmick but the gameplay is terrible, it makes no sense with how the game is structured. At least more RNG portals you get to have wild and fun stuff happen even though the variance can be annoying lol.

I'm quite the casual tft player, never grind out ranked, but I only play ranked when I do play, and the most frustrating thing this set has been the shop odds. It feels like I'm being lied to. I nearly ALWAYS fail to find what I'm looking for when I roll at the appropriate level (6 for 2 costs, etc), so much so that I started "testing" it by attempting to roll for 2 costs at 7 and 3 costs at 8 instead, and I immediately started feeling like I hit my units more often. 4 costs come too often at level 6 (even a bit high at level 5 imo but I don't play enough to have a real feel for it), 3 costs come too often at level 5, and fucking 1 costs come way too often at levels 8+. I have legitimately rolled 80 gold without finding a 2 star 4 cost at level 9 while simultaneously finding 2-3 2 star one costs (if I had purchased them). It feels so often like I do what I'm supposed to and the shop just says no. Does anyone else feel this way, or have I just been less lucky on average?

I know alot of people will have those "won't hit moment" on any cost of unit despite the lack of contest sometime, I just feel the reduced pool after that change awhile back make it feel worst sometime..

No, even dragonlord 5 "only" does 18% max HP true damage, and you need to deal 40% max HP to kill a unit. Sure, it does remove almost half of your opponent's effective HP (18% out of 40%) but also, when are you getting 5 dragonlord AND 9 umbral in a game?

its possible 7 fortune early then you go for all fortune emblem cashout and reroll the spare ones after 9 fortune for dragonlord emblems also if you added the new item on nautilus where when he stuns he does 20 percent max health as magic damage their team would have about 4 percent effective hp left
