I loved FROG kits. I only have two in my stash (for shame!) : The Bristol Beaufort, and a Vultee Vengeance - an odd plane that the Japanese were terrified of. I did have the Javelin - it was a beautiful beast - it's huge. If you get the chance to own one, do it. I had that coastal tanker kit, too, which would float if ballasted properly. I blew mine up, as you do. Immediately wished I hadn't. Pity by 1975, FROG had stopped producing their pioneers of aviation kits - I believe that they made Alcock and Brown's Vickers Vimy, with which they flew the Atlantic in 1919. Those kits came with a standing figure of the pilot - There was Bleriot, Amy Johnson, Charles Lindbergh, etc. Fun times.

Finished my Frog Boston last week and managed to use the original decals! They had been blutacked to my office window for three weeks, though. Halfway through a Maryland and waiting for a Baltimore to arrive. Looks like all my DAF aeroplanes will be Frog!

Good enough for me! I messed up the exhausts a bit, but they are not that great when done properly. My excuse anyway. 😆

HI ya, I've just recently picked up a 1/72 Jaguar kit by Heller, .... your catalogue had photos of the single seater or the double seater version, which this kit has, I wonder if this too is a Frog re mould kit??.... keep up the great videos, catch ya

No FROG kit and HELLER kits are different tools... FROG was reboxed by Novo, ZTS Plastyk and Maquette! Hope this helps

I never built a Frog kit but I do remember, as a kid, wanting to buy Frog's He162 - I hadn't ever seen the aircraft before and thought it was pretty cool looking. Unfortunately I didn't have enough money at the time. When I finally saved up enough the kit was gone and the hobby shop never restocked it. In retrospect, their not restocking it must have been due to Frog going out of business.

I wonder if you can get it from revell? they reboxed a few kits

@@MOS6510Models If I were to build a He162 today, I'd prob just get a modern kit. They're so much more accurate and better detailed (of course they cost a lot more too).

I don't have idea HOW you get this vintage gem: the last breed of the beloved FROG brand! 😮 Thank you very much for sharing this nice memories 🤩👍 And by the way, taking your own proposal about Airfix, from this fantastic 1975 catalogue we need a retooling (from Airfix) the next Frog kits= A6M2N "Rufe", DH Hornet Mk.3, Grumman Avenger/Tarpon, Farey Firefly Mk.1, DH Sea Venom FAW-21 & F4U-1/1A Corsair (FAA/RNZAF versions). Perhaps it's much to ask for, but i bet that almost everybody that follows this channel wants the same! 😜😁 Thanks again & best regards 👌

The subjects were interesting and some unusual types were covered but some of the models were terrible, particularly the early ones but right at the end of the run they got it right, far too late. I remember the He 111 being better than any other 1/72 offerings at the time. The main problem with Frog was distribution, they were quite hard to find, turning up in small numbers. I obtained my Barracuda mail order.

Yes i agree in some part to that.. the company that owned them over all went bust taking them with them
