So you're telling me that a new girl who's shy and doesn't like being the center of attention and is an invisible wizard, moved to a new town and this town thought the best way possible to welcome this timid person was to throw them a parade, making them the center of the entire towns attention but before the parade was able to be held, all of the decorations were destroyed, but nobody knows who did it because nobody was seen doing it? Hmm... Yeah no i'm stumped. I don't know who did it.

Carrie -- you're talking about the "Boyfriend Curse". The theory is that young (mostly) women decide to take up knitting for the new boyfriend they've fallen in love with. But because they are new at knitting, it takes forever to knit the sweater -- longer than the relationship lasts. It's more of a warning to not start a big project for someone you're infatuated with before you know for sure it's going to be a long term relationship.

The Wikipedia page calls it the Sweater Curse, or the Curse of the Love Sweater. Other places call it things like the Boyfriend Sweater Curse, but sweaters are always mentioned before boyfriends, because a _lot_ of things can curse boyfriends.

Also worth noting that there are several other proposed explanations for the Curse of the Love Sweater, including: Catalyst for Analyzing the Relationship (such a significant gift leads to one party or the other reflecting on the relationship and realizing it has problems) Misdirected Attention (knitter either spends too much time knitting and not enough with the knittee, or likes the sweater to the point of irritating the knittee) Aversion (the knitee doesn't even want a hand-knit sweater). These could also be taken as broader lessons about relationships. However, I'm pretty sure the superstitious knitters think it's a knitting-specific thing.

I would HATE to move into a place and have my neighbors try and throw me a welcoming parade. HATE. Too much attention will throw me into a panic spiral. If I caught wind of something like that happening to me I would absolutely put a stop to it. All that to say: my four minutes in prediction is that the wizard did it.

The only reason I doubt that is because I suspect she barricaded her house when she heard there would be a welcoming parade, and hence couldn't get out to do any sabotage.

It's really hard no nail the sillyness and seriousness these games achieve. Frog Detective is one of the most lovable game protagonists of all times.

I'm mildly saddened that we're yet to hear anyone say "Invizard". But also happy because it means I get to say it first. When decorating a book, one should never begin with an alligator sticker - the 'gator should always come later. The parade area looks a lot like the wind did it. So my guess is that it was no-one.

The term "invisible wizard" also popped up during an episode of Elden Ring, and I wondered at the time why that portmanteau didn't happen. This is at least the second missed opportunity!

Also, those frogs in hats in the photo in Lobster Cop's office: I'm going to guess those aren't just any two random frog friends. I'd wager they're Frog Detective's parents, hanging out with Lobster Cop, and even getting a framed photo of them taken to commemorate the good times they have with everyone's favourite animal investigator. I really hope that is the case, because that'd be perfectly silly, in line with the humour of the rest of the series.

Sharp eye at 43:37 there Carrie. Speculation and potential spoilers from here on out. I don't know who this character is but he did appear in the first game. He was hiding in the rocks around Mouse (I believe his appearance spooked Carrie in the playthrough of the Haunted Island, i will put in a time stamp if I remember it) and you could trick his AI into revealing his position if you constantly looked back and forth from his hiding spot. I imagine that Grace and her team have some plans of some simultaneously grand and ridiculous conspiracy in a later game especially given how this game ends.

Fun Fact: anoddy is based of Grace's dog, who is also named Noddy. When the random photos of animals appear in the intro cutescene Noddy is the dog in pajamas.
