Are you using braided or monofilament line? Also what pound test are you using? Right now I'm rigged up with a braided 50 pound test and a braided 65 pound test. Overkill yes but I tried to use 20 pound fluorocarbon line cast one time and it snapped and I lost my spinner bait threw that line away.
