I think it is a good theme for: Bushcraft for beginners or WWW what when why ... how to pack your pack right

Bought a Morakniv Companion recently and noticed the same thing. The "flat edge" of the knife is very broad, but not at all square. Sucks for using with a ferro rod. True, you can grind it down yourself, but I wholeheartedly agree -- for the higher end knives, I would expect it to show up that way without any extra effort on my part. Acceptable for the Mora, not so much for the more expensive kit.

Greetings from across the pond!! Great video Allen, I like that we both agree leather sheaths are the way to go. I actually have the same knife and I'm currently working on making a leather sheath for it. Once I'm satisfied with a design I'll gladly make one up for you and send it your way. Cheers mate!

I’m very much enjoying your longer content. You’re a very good storyteller also. What a coincidence that you and MDM met the way you did. Pretty funny that you got turned around in a woodland that you’ve been in and out of a couple of hundred times.

I like this tent, looks cozy and aerodynamic. I wonder how durable it is on windy weather. Oh and i know Zapas brand, they make quite good knives (i am from Poland like producer). Thanks for good vid :)

Nice outing…don’t worry about feeding the foxes I have them on my property and put stuff out for animals all the time …they won’t come near people and are not the only animals that eat the bones and scrap. Have fun stay safe.

I've always liked the look of this tent, especially the flecktarn pattern for stealth camping. But, I've heard the quality isn't there and some leak so I never bothered with it. Glad you got a good un.

Highlights; the CZ mechanics camo jacket and cracking off that fart in the morning😂

It's nice to have a knife which will strike a good spark, but I never considered that a necessary feature. I carry an old KA-BAR Marine Corps fighting knife. It does everything I need a knife to do plus offers some personal protection from predators. I have other items that can throw a good spark such as the bottle opener on my swiss army knife.

The Polish knife isn't the only survival knife out there that can't strike a fire steel from straight out the box , there's a lot of expensive brands that can't do the same thing , the knife handle is another thing with the screws which will tell over time if they crack out , the knife is in the same price range as the Gerber Strong arm I think out the two I would definitely go for the Strong arm survival knife .

I have the recon 1 and find if your only using it once in a while you will get good use out of it , l started using it full time and eventually problems started , stitching started coming loose , poles started to splinter , had rather a lot of condensation in side , on one camp out it rained heavy and constant all night and got woken up due to leak , l paid 60 quid several years ago and l thought it was good for price , but as it costs over 100 now there are better options ,
Woodland wildcamp. No tent or hammock.
