We all face trials and tribulations in life and there are only 2 ways to handle them. You either break from the pressure or you man the F*%# up and make it happen. Mikey is in Make it happen mode! He has to get busy and show the world that he's matured and nothing to play with. If not he will be playing overseas in Germany somewhere. He burned a lot of bridges with his childish behavior so restoring those relationships are also vital for his professional career and growth. I'm rooting for the kid, I pray he makes it!

Questions. Court awareness. Can he initiate the offense or does the ball go down the dribble hole. I havent seen him play, only these highlights where he hasn't made a pass. He's got a good handle and hops and shot but he's small for a point in the NBA. I think it's beneficial to have at least a full year in college to gadge his development. I don't know much about this Williams. From reading comments he was very hyped coming into college. THAT can be an issue as far as being coachable and improving. I'm A Purdue fan. Coach Painter discussed Zach Edey who was ranked like 300th when he went to Purdue. Painter stated because Zach was so lowly rated he was very coachable, he listened to the coaching staff and he worked hard to improve his game over 4 years at Purdue. Edey could barely play 10 minutes a game his 1st year and was playing entire games at the end. If Mikey Williams wasn't soo hyped maybe he would have a better mind set/work ethic. The NBA is full of Professional Men trying to feed their family's who GET it! No one at the NBA level cares about your hype...

The difference is ALL those Stars were talented. They also worked their butts off to reach the level they did. I think Edey will surprise as Memphis is a perfect fit. An example did you see Edey declined to play for Canada in the Olympics. So he can play with Memphis Summer League and work with Memphis. If Edey struggles early I assure you he will work to try and improve his game to get better.
