This is the type of game where I feel like your "take over for the losing player and experiment" would be really valuable to see. In retrospect, the 4 sandworm play ends the game every time without a specific answer. Was there an answer that would have worked (acid+more scorps maybe?), in which case you should always take that answer, or was the sandworms showing up a guaranteed loss in that position, in which case you should never play that line? Super useful information either way!

To be fair, this is what happens when you try to win with only long range units. And imo, it should lose to a well-performed counter as if it couldn't, that would be very bad for the game in general. We'd go back to the previous patched where the only viable strategy is mass stormcaller. That said, when Dzemp saw sandworms in the offered cards, I think his best choices are to take them himself or go for overlords, as his opponent only has 3 marksman for aa and theoretically those die to siege scrops and stormcallers.
